The Truth About Wealth
What is wealth, really? Before I get into that with you, I want you to understand why I am even asking the question. 11.5% of Americans smoke. Around 58% of Americans indulge in pornography. 36.6% of Americans eat fast food. Only 5% of Americans will be financially secure, and only 1% are what would be considered financially wealthy.
I believe that a sane planet full of good people would gravitate toward doing good things and avoid doing bad things. I believe wealth is a good thing. How do I know? The closer I get to it, the better my life, my family’s life, and the lives of those in the world around me tend to get.
This leads me to two possible conclusions:
In the last week, how many people did you help without expecting anything back in return? In the last week, did you earn enough income to further your financial wealth and take another step toward achieving a wealthy life? In the last week, did you learn anything new that expanded your horizons and allowed you to see yourself or the world around you more clearly? In the last week, did you play? Did you do something that you genuinely enjoy just for the sake of enjoying it?
On a day-to-day basis, a wealthy person does all of those things. Why? Because their number one goal is to help others. They understand the importance of earning power and building financial wealth and don’t attempt to avoid it or downplay it. They want to always be a better version of themselves from one day to the next and learn something new that helps them get there. And they are playful at heart. Some of the wealthiest people I know are the most playful people I know.
Let’s trade “retirement” for “responsibility”. Let’s trade “escaping the rat race” for “living with purpose”. Let’s trade financial bondage for freeing ourselves and others.
Because I believe when we have millions of people living this way, it will create a movement that makes this world a better place.
I’m there. I want you to be there. And if you’re a good person, I’d love to help you do that.
I hope this article gives you some valuable tools that you can begin to apply to build a life of abundance and prosperity in all areas.
