First of all, breathe. Just breathe. I know the market is crazy right now. Calls are pouring in every minute with questions like, "Kathy, what do we do?" "How do I fill out the listing agreement?" "What about the buyers? Zero or percent?" The panic is real, but it’s all fixable.

Here's the deal: In a market where things are going crazy, some are going to win, and some are going to lose. Which do you want to be? I choose to be a winner, and you should too.


Think Bigger: Growth Mindset, Vision, Ambition

I've got a podcast channel called Real Estate Riches, and let me tell you, today's episode was a game-changer. I interviewed a multilingual, multicultural woman from Bangladesh who grew up speaking three languages. She studied in England and mastered the Queen's English. Her story is inspiring, and it all boils down to one thing - think bigger.

I was at a convention in Portugal in June, and the message was clear: think bigger. I always thought I did, but this was next level. You have a choice: think scared or think smart. Gravitate towards those who are finding solutions, not panicking.


Practical Advice for Navigating the Market

An agent called me today in a state of confusion, bombarded by conflicting advice. I told her, “Protect yourself. What do you feel you should do?” The listing agency form has a spot for the seller's contributions. There’s also a form for the seller to sign, agreeing to pay the buyer’s agent. It’s all there, clear as day. The key is to stop listening to the scared ones and start tuning in to the confident voices.

Here’s the big deal: Surround yourself with people who are confident about these changes. Why? Because they’re the ones who will make it through. In 2007-2008, many agents left the industry when the market tanked. The same is happening now. Some are driving Ubers or taking part-time jobs to make ends meet. That’s okay if it’s necessary, but don’t quit. Stick with it, learn, adapt, and succeed.
