Truth and Perspectives

How often do you hear the statement 'It depends on your perspective'?

Together as a world, we have subjected the truth to being a matter of different perspectives.

Individual opinions, beliefs and pattern of viewing the world have become the 'truth'. In fact, there is rarely any agreed truth today because it all boils down to individual perspective.

Take for example, if it was in our today's world, People who thought the earth was flat would be encouraged to keep their views. Perhaps, the Earth is not really spherical in shape. They just have a different way of seeing things.

Don't get me wrong. Individual perspectives are very important. Advances in Science, Psychology, Physics, Human Biology and other fields came because an individual choose to see something differently.

But at what point does it become too much?

In my opinion, Truth is pure, undiluted fact. It is not subjective nor conforms to individual opinions. Truth is not truth simply because a thought leader or a celebrity endorses it. Truth does not become truth because the public accepts it. Truth is truth because it is the truth.

It is objective and stands the test of time, regardless of circumstances or persons. It is a constant K.

The mistake many people make is that they confuse opinions as facts. Facts does not equate opinions. Here's how to differentiate opinions from Facts:

Opinions are sentimental and often come from a place of personal entitlement or selfishness. Sometimes, they come from a place of greed.

Facts are facts because they state things as they are, not tainted with personal opinions and feelings.

Opinions are important but they do not equate facts.

On Time Management:

One thing I have observed from successful people is their expert management of time. It seems they have time controls on their beck and call.

Now, for the life of me, I don't know how possible this is, considering time is very elusive. But I have an opinion on this.

I feel time management is a result of self control and discipline. Self Control to know how to do what is necessary whether pleasing or not. Discipline to enforce doing what you need to do.

If you can hack time management, you can hack the remaining 8 aspects of your life.

On Money Management:

Growing up, we never lacked the essentials but we rarely had the desired. I always thought it was a punishment. Why could not we get everything we wanted?

What my dad taught me was 'It was not how much you made but how much you kept'. It does not matter if you are currently the richest, if you can not maintain riches, then you don't understand money principles.

In my Twenty-two years on earth, I have seen my dad's words proven over and over again. In peoples' lives, their behaviors, their spending pattern.

At some point, it becomes really easy to predict who would remain rich and who would not.

A bird in hand is worth five in the bush.

Osinachi Akanegbu thanks for your perspectives ??. Though facts are always based on evidence, truth will be shaped by our individual experiences and perceptions. And that’s a fact! I am on all fours with the principle enunciated by your dad. For me, it is not what you earn that matters, it is what you do with it!
