TRUTH NOW!

There has never been, perhaps, as much need for TRUTH as there is today. Recent circumstances clearly illustrate that our bookcase is so full of lies and deceit, there is little room for TRUTH. The need now is because Main Street Media, once the most trusted portrayers of TRUTH, have become the greatest source and promoter of lies today. The situation is only made more difficult due to the speed of social media, the number of sources available, and the lack of any controls over the “facts and evidence” presented as truth.

We are being asked to believe so-called facts that we know cannot be true. We are now expected to believe things that have been proved totally false. In risk of sounding too partisan I present the following examples.

The contents of a laptop computer that so-called security experts called Russian dis-information, has now been proven as totally true and accurate. Could this information have changed the results of the 2020 election? Who knows, but we had the right to know about it and to ask the questions ourselves.

Entire histories have been removed and replaced by more moderate positions and profiles. Earlier this week, according to FOX News, GovTrack confirmed that it had?removed its 2019 web page?that ranked Kamala Harris as that year's "most liberal" U.S. senator sometime within the last two weeks. The web page with the ranking was recently deactivated, and its link now displays a "Page Not Found" message. The Internet Archive shows the page was deleted in the period between July 10 and July 23, 2024.?Do you believe in conveniences?

We have been asked, for example, to believe that after months of saying that he was staying in the race, Biden would overnight bow to the mounting pressures and resign in disgrace from his run for re-election, that he did so to “pass the torch” and for unity and the good of the country. The drumbeats could be heard loud and clear, and the evidence shows that he was not given a choice. I am not buying the explanation he gave the nation without further proof to the contrary.

We are being asked to believe that once highly trusted institutions and organizations, with some truly heroic and great people, have now just failed or were misdirected. It is still not clear why obvious potential sniper positions were left unmanned or watched, and that police officers who were told of the threat several minutes before shots rang out were not able to stop a 20-year-old, untrained sniper and food service worker from taking eight shots at the former President. Something about this just does not sit right with the American people and the resignation of the Secret Service Director should not stop the inquiry.

How can we average Americans get at the TRUTH? How can we be assured that we are not being lied to, taken for granted, or discounted as un-informed and incapable of knowing the TRUTH. We can ask questions, lots of questions, and demand answers in exchange for our attention, support, or vote. You cannot now just pull a Democratic nor Republican lever without knowing what is at stake, who the people are that you are voting for, and what they truly believe.

Facts go hand in hand with the TRUTH, but we are quick to ignore them when they do not align with what we want to believe. Facts are the easiest to ignore when we have our own version of the TRUTH. This is what those in power want you to believe and the only thing that can begin to explain the many “TRUTHS” we see in the world today. Seek facts and evidence, do not go blindly forward because you believe something to be true – prove it to yourself and others!

Do we still have TRUTH in the world? There are so many lies, so much deceit, and so much evil, this is an essential question to address.

Can we tell the difference anymore? Your response to TRUTH is more critical now than ever before! It may be the only thing that can save us from ourselves.

People seem to think that they are entitled to their own truths, to what "they believe" is true. Can this be TRUTH for everyone? What will our society then become?

The question isn’t as simple as whether someone is lying or not. The issue is that the very notion that an objective TRUTH exists (or matters) is eroding. The question “What is truth?” overlooks the fact that many things can have truth, but only one thing can actually be the TRUTH.

TRUTH must originate from somewhere. Our society must have TRUTH to survive!
