Elon Musk knows about rocket science—one of the hardest technologies to understand and master.
Exceptional leaders in organizations know how to run data-driven strategies, manage product analysis, and craft market approaches.
But let’s ask the real question:
Who builds organizations? It’s people. Companies don’t build themselves. We rely on people to create, innovate, and grow businesses (at least for now, before robots and AI take over).
So, what lies inside a human being that drives this success?
There’s still a gap in understanding what it truly means to be human.
Most corporate training programs offer useful insights like “how to manage people,” “learn different communication styles,” or “coaching skills for managers,” but they scratch the surface. These skills are important, but they don’t address the complexity of human potential.
So, what’s inside? How do we perform well as individuals? It’s not just the responsibility of organizations to answer these questions.
At the core of it, some companies truly care about your holistic well-being. While happy employees perform better, corporate focus is often more on performance than happiness (understandable).
The Real Journey: Beyond the Corporate Box
Just as Elon Musk pushes boundaries to innovate and create what doesn’t yet exist, you need to think outside the corporate box to reach your full potential in life.
Developing yourself as a person is more complex than any training program can offer.
I’ve worked with HR leaders and business executives who’ve gone through deep personal transformations. Conversations that were once focused only on business metrics now include discussions about life journeys, emotional healing, and personal paths. Many of these leaders are learning to balance their Suit (outer success) with their Monk (inner fulfilment). This is something our world desperately needs.
What’s Inside Your Inner Monk?
For 17 years, I’ve been on a quest to understand the inner journey, and every day, I wake up knowing that my internal world is most important. My external success keeps changing, but what remains constant is my commitment to the true journey.
So, how do you develop your Monk? Is it through religion, finding your path, emotional healing, doing what you love, or simply living joyfully?
The answer lies in understanding life’s complexity. In the Suited Monk philosophy I teach that life is about - reaching the end of your search -.
You spent your life and career searching—for a better job, more happiness, less stress, a new relationship. But the ultimate goal is to end that search and live fully in the present moment. When you’re no longer fixated on the future or stuck in the past, you begin to experience true fulfilment.
The Misconception of Meditation
Some believe that the only way to achieve this state of presence is through meditation. While meditation can be a powerful tool, it’s not the only path. When someone teaches that meditation is the ONLY way, they often haven’t experienced the journey of life. The journey of life is bigger than meditation.
I have meditated at some points in my life, but it was not the major tool that worked for me. So I come from a different perspective. Today I don’t meditate, I live in a meditative state. These are two different things.
So how can you live in a meditative state, how can you experience the end of your search?
The Four Bodies: Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, Physical
You have four bodies: the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. When all are aligned, you experience wholeness, live in the present, and reach the end of your search. To get there, you need to cleanse each body.
When all these are aligned, your search in life ends because they are all aligned and you have everything you need within.
This is what I mean by you don’t have to meditate, you can live in a meditative state.

When your blockages, fears and limiting beliefs are removed there is no more resistance so you live in a meditative state.
That is the real journey of a Suited Monk. Align your inner and outer world.
Aligning Your Inner Journey with Corporate Success
Of course, I don’t walk into organizations and start talking about all this. The focus is on helping people align their inner Monk (values, purpose, intuition, authenticity, resilience) with organizational objectives (managing change, change ego behavior, resolve conflict etc…).
This journey requires two things:
The first step is to identify the gaps in your life related to your four bodies. Once you’ve identified the gaps, simply use the right tools to bridge them. It’s not complicated.
Your career, relationships, house, image, and identity can always change. But your inner Monk will always be with you—that’s your true journey.
Start Today
This journey has taken me from Belgium to China, to Hong Kong, to Spain, and now to Australia. I’ve built and closed businesses, worked in corporate, burned out physically with severe health issues, became an entrepreneur, experienced love, gotten married and divorced, failed and succeeded. I resolved karma from past lives and now can humbly just live in the moment and be of service to others.
Each step brought lessons that allowed me to heal and cleanse my 4 bodies and grow closer to my true self to in the end experience the end of my search.
Joseph Campbell talks about the hero′s journey in his book written in 1949. This ancient philosophy still stands today. Ancient philosophy and wisdom still hold even today. Why? Because wisdom nurtures our inner Monk. And that is our real journey.
With Suited Monk I aim to provide practical tools and insights on this journey to make the journey easier to understand.
I attach here again the life journey model in which you can see the bigger picture of the journey of life and the two worlds you live. Ideally, they merge into one:
I encourage you to embark on your true journey, it is the only way to personal freedom.
And when you are on the path you can still be successful in corporate.
There does not need to be a separation between your path and your work, ideally your Monk and Suit are aligned.
Don′t focus on one or two tools, focus on your journey.
If you need guidance, send me a message.
Let’s connect Monk to Monk and see how we can work together. And if not, I hope you find the right mentor who can guide you on your path.
Wishing you well,
