The Truth Hurts Less Than Secrets

Transformational speaker on Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence, I share my personal victory of overcoming childhood abuse and domestic violence, and how I turned my wounds into wisdom so I can inspire others in similar circumstances to no longer be silent. ?

What triggered you to get started on this adventure??

My personal success story and the fact that sexual abuse and domestic violence tripled worldwide during and after the covid lockdown. During that time I began attending live webinars to share my inspirational story, of how being a victim can eventually become your victory story…

Initially I hesitated to come out and speak freely because I was concerned about how my family would react once the truth came out... and now I live with the fact that my father no longer speaks to me because of his inability to have a functional relationship.

Who was supporting / cheering / mentoring you??

My amazing mentor and clinical psychologist, Heleniq Argyrou assisted me in facing and clearing my emotional blockages through various mindful techniques and weekly support sessions, so I could release my dysfunctional relationships and find peace within myself through self-forgiveness and deep inner child work.?

Heleniq has been my mentor since 2018 and today we continue our collaboration in holding regular sacred women's circles in Paphos, Cyprus to empower women through their Divine Feminine Energies, as well as holding Children's Drumming Circles where we encourage their self-expression through music therapy sharing the My Body Children’s Body Safety programme which is known worldwide.

What was the biggest challenge??

My biggest challenge was having the courage to speak up and express myself without caring about the opinions of others. I certainly had many doubts yet I was committed to face my fears head-on and follow the calling of my soul, which eventually transformed my wounds into wisdom!

Overcoming this challenge helped me feel proud of myself. As I regained my voice and my confidence, I finally rediscovered self-love and respect which I had lost for myself.

What value did you create for others??

By being a living example of how we can face our deepest fears and pains, and how through commitment and courage?and having the right support, we can eventually overcome them, I am inspiring and encouraging other women to come out of their closets and speak their truth. We all have skeletons in our closets however, the time is NOW to be heard and be the change we wish to see in the world by choosing to redefine our future from our past pains!

How are you integrating the learning in your day-to-day life??

I now work with children as a childminder on a daily basis and also assist in empowering women through holding monthly circles where they can speak their truth and?be heard in a safe, sacred space.

Women who have suffered similar circumstances whether it be sexual abuse or domestic violence, or even bullying can now reach out for support?and no longer suffer in silence.

Now, I feel Amazing...Confident…. Untouchable…Unstoppable...and sooo very proud of myself!

It took me a decade of deep inner work but the results are certainly worth the effort…
