The Truth About Healing

I decided that healing is necessary. Not just me helping others to heal, but me intentionally for myself. And recently, launching the Healing With Integrity movement, I've come to respect the process and necessity of it all the more. Why? Because in your personal and professional life, healing is power and healing is pivotal.

Healing involves restoring emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. It's more than just "kissing the boo-boo" and putting a band-aid on it. It encompasses recognizing that you deserve to take time off and heal. The deeper issue, however, is choosing to heal with integrity.

What happens when you have to hurt and heal in front of the public eye? What happens when you have to lose and win in front of an audience? I'm of the belief that we either win or learn - never lose. But even the learning process can sometimes feel like we're losing. And nobody likes to experience loss while all eyes are on them.

In personal life and in business, one must learn to heal with integrity. This includes treating others with respect and dignity, even when they may not be doing the same. Regardless of their background or circumstances, everyone deserves to be valued and understood - but so do we. WE must be intentional about respecting ourselves and our own process. It's important for the healing journey.

It doesn't matter what level you are on in your career. When you hurt, the world can tell by how you respond and how you show up. Sometimes, you have to show up when you don't want to. Sometimes, you have to be on stage when you don't want to. Sometimes, you have to be in the room and close the deals when you don't want to. And it's in those times that you must ensure you're not bleeding on those that you serve.

I know this isn't a topic that most will talk about, but we shouldn't highlight our successes without shedding some light on our battles.
