The Truth.
David Clark
Mental Health Advocate (bipolar diagnosed after 20 yr public sector performance audit career - advocating for recovery-focused support for those grappling with mental illness)
I've done some huge reflections over the weekend.
The progress I've made over the past decade is deeply significant.
And as a performance auditor, I am aghast at how mental health globally is disrespected.
It is an abuse of our human rights than leaders globally ignore what we need as human beings.
I am so angry and I am directing this into calm reflection so effect constructive change.
My anger is immeasurable.
People are no longer around as a result of politicians failing in their duty of care.
And so I'm likely going to be taking some significant measures in the coming days, weeks and months.
This is a legal judgement on the performance of politicians globally.
It will be honest.
It will be evidence-based.
It may awaken those across the public sector.
It may awaken those grappling with their mental health.
I intend to deliver what I have had to deliver almost single-handedly over the past decade to all those with a mental health diagnosis - calm, happy flow towards a legacy worth leaving.
I am over the incompetence of all elements of mental health globally.
Enough.
