Truth Cannot be Destroyed

?Now is the perpetual reconfiguration of everything everywhere all at once. There is past-now (which is not now, it is just memory), present-now (exactly some specific real clock and calendar time, but that time is not now, rather it is an abstraction added onto now, not intrinsic to now), and future-now (which is not now, it is just imagination).

?

There is no time intrinsic in now because now is perpetually exactly itself without sequence from before to after, there is no previous now and no future now, even though there is past time and there will be future time (unless the universe ends). The sequence is in time, not now. Now is never before (in memory, some past time, some previous now) or after (in future time in imagination). Memory of the past occurs now, and that memory may be a true memory or a false memory. Imagination of the future occurs now, but that imagination has nothing to do with true or false. What is imagined may or may not occur in the future, so true and false imagination has no actual meaning. Imagination is whatever it is without reference to actual true or false.

?

Truth without exception begins to exist from the exact moment it was determined to exist by cognitive abstraction which is a known function of ego consciousness. It is well understood in existential philosophy that there is no intrinsic meaning in anything, rather that meaning is added on by the abstraction function of ego consciousness. It is certain that determinations of true and false are instances of collective ego consciousness looking at, decoding and bestowing meaning upon now.

?

If something from the past, believed to be true, is proved to not be true in the present, that could only mean two things: 1) it was never actually true, or 2) circumstances have changed from what they were, and what is true now is different than what was true in the past. Neither of those things can in any way affect the actual truth.

?

Truth is objective in the same way that north, south, east and west are objective. Once those directions are arbitrarily determined, for instance with reference to the Earth’s axis of rotation, then actual directions north, south, east and west are true and truth of that cannot be changed. Some other reference could be used in the future and that would certainly change what is actually (objectively independent of any subjective belief or preference by any instance of ego consciousness) north, south, east or west. Not only that but it is well known that Earth’s poles have shifted in the past (geomagnetic reversal), and it is coherent to assume they might shift again in the future. None of that has anything to do with truth being conserved or changing.

?

“Paleomagnetic records show that the Earth's magnetic poles have flipped places 183 times in the last 83 million years.” https://www.inverse.com/science/earth-magnetic-field-flip-chaos

?

The past cannot be altered in any way. The present being different from the past, does not mean that the past has changed, it simply means the past remains only as a record, some kind of memory. The past has no actuality to it except as memory. It is now that is perpetually reconfigured. The past is not reconfigured, it is just gone forever. Now is never a repeat of any previous now, never a revision of any previous now, and not the next now, it is simply perpetual now.

?

Therefore, the truth (immaterial abstraction) cannot be destroyed. The truth is a cognitive abstraction added onto something else that is physical. The truth cannot change but everything physical does. Each time physical changes a new truth can be attached to it by ego consciousness abstraction.

?

We could have endless discussions about instances of truth, say what is true, right here right now, but once truth is established, say the Detroit Lions beat Houston Texans on November 10, 2024, that cannot be undone, which is also exactly true for every event or object from the past. This is simple tautology. X = X exactly, only and always. Tautology cannot not be true. Any object or event from the past is exactly, only and always itself.

?

The ontological necessity is to determine what exists and the epistemological necessity is to perpetually determine the difference between true and false, for example, is the information we have about some physical thing true or false now? True and false are always with reference to now, but now is perpetual reconfiguration, so truth is also perpetual reconfiguration. It is certain that as actual physical reality changes, the truth changes with it, not because truth is destroyed, only because truth is embedded in perpetual now, the whole gestalt image of our whole physical universe. The fact of tautology truth is conserved. As physical (not conserved) perpetually changes, the truth of the information we have about physical objects must be adjusted accordingly. For example, time flows in a natural one-way sequence of seconds, but the fact that any previous second no longer exists cannot possibly be interpreted to mean it was somehow a false second. The same is true of all instances of truth, if the circumstances that truth confirmed no longer remain, that does not mean the previous truth was destroyed.

?

If something from the past, thought to be true, is proved to not be true now, that could only mean two things: 1) it was never actually true (which does not mean truth was destroyed), or 2) circumstances have changed from what they were, and what is true now is different than what was true in the past (which does not mean truth was destroyed, only that truth changes as actual physical changes).
