The Truth Behind My Wrist Pain: Not What I Expected

The Truth Behind My Wrist Pain: Not What I Expected

After going through the rough experience of endless injections, physical therapy, medications, and two surgeries, all for simple wrist pain in my early 20s while working as an electrician, my doctor suggested a repeat of the same. I chose to opt out.

I'm sure there are some folks who don't mind surgery, but I despised it, especially when it didn't work... twice.

Later, when I found a permanent solution, I was taken aback by what I learned.

Turns out, my wrist was never the issue. The real problem was how I carried myself, how I was breathing, and how I was moving through life.

I was misaligned and overlooked these essential, unconscious facets of existence.

But here's the thing, when we're under pressure and stress, whether physical, mental, or spiritual, that shaky, misaligned foundation can become the root of pain and tension.

What blew my mind was the idea of making the mundane, everyday activities of our life a sort of therapy.

Imagine walking down the street, focusing on your body alignments, natural movement and breathing, and taking stock of how it feels and appears.

Because each step you take either promotes poor body mechanics or healthy ones.

So now when I walk, I'm hyper-aware, consciously and subconsciously, of how things feel around my spine, ribs, legs, and arms.

If something feels stiff or immobile, I try to release that tension, restore movement, and get things unstuck.

Movement and circulation naturally ease pain.

And pills, injections, and surgeries can't erase pain that stems from immobile joints around your body or a cramped diaphragm, particularly in areas like your spine.

My wrist pain? It was a symptom of poor movement in my neck and shoulder. I could have endured ten more surgeries, but I would've still had pain. They could've amputated my wrist, but the pain probably would've migrated to my elbow.

The point is, it was up to me to resolve my issues since I was the source.

If you've been struggling with chronic pain, and traditional methods like physical therapy and surgeries haven't worked, consider observing how you're naturally moving through life. It might be the key to the root of your pain or tension.
