Updates to the Board of Trustees

We are thrilled to announce the following appointments and updates to the members of our Board of Trustees. Congratulations to Masimba Zata , Chantal Bond and Sunil Sharma, FIAI FIA ! Also a huge thank you to Karen Brocklesby who has recently stepped down as a trustee, but will still lend her expert advice to the IFoA Foundation on grant programmes going forward. Thank you Karen!

Webinar across the world

Our first 'fireside chat' webinar to launch our new international group mentoring programme took place on 5th October - thank you to all who attended and supported this online event!

There was a fabulous mix in the audience, including potential mentees and those interested in supporting the programme from all across the globe. The discussion between the panel members was riveting and some great feedback was received.

You can now watch the recording online, and look out for details of our next 'fireside chat' due to take place in January 2024 - everyone is invited!

Paying it forward...

Mahidhara Davangere South Asia Scholars, Peddina Sripriya?and?Naomi Philip?have both recently found employment with Swiss Re.

No longer in need of the support of the?IFoA Foundation to fund their IFoA exams or membership they have donated unused funds from their award back to help support other aspiring actuaries from their region. This gesture of 'giving back' embraces our mission of #ActuariesSupportingOthers and emulates the generosity of the donors who created the South Asia Fund.

Partnerships made in heaven...

There are 4 corporate supporters who have supported us since our beginning, and they have all once again renewed their commitment as supporters.

Thank you so much to Barnett Waddingham , Gen Re , LCP and Milliman UK for your ongoing and unwavering support of our mission!

If your company is interested in finding out more about being a corporate supporter, find out more here about becoming a partner.

Running for a reason

Two actuaries, Leonard Mapfumo FIA, ACA, CA(Z) and Lloyd Richards, FIA CERA CStat , kindly took on the Royal Parks Half - London on 8th October in support of the IFoA Foundation.

Both challengers donned IFoA Foundation running vests to help spread awareness about the profession and our cause, as well as raising funds to support our beneficiaries across the globe.

Education grants - closed for applications

A reminder that our International Education Hardship Fund Grant scheme is temporarily closed while we redesign the process.?

Our small team has been overwhelmed by applications for help with exam fees from students around the globe and our current systems can no longer cope with demand.?

Please note will not be accepting or processing any new student grant applications for the foreseeable future. Please keep an eye on our webpage and LinkedIn for updates.?
