Trusted Advisor On Rewarding Yourself In Every Success
Brad Tonini , Trusted Advisor to Sales Teams
I help sales people convert sales and sales managers to lead the sales team. Email [email protected] to discuss how.
How are you going this year? How are you going against the financial year in terms of your budget? Are you ahead? Have you made some great sales in recent times? Have you created an opportunity with a big elephant out there in terms of meeting your budget through a smaller number of clients or opportunities?
When we succeed in sales I really believe you need to reward yourself. Now that doesn’t mean that the first time you get through to a buyer, and you punch the air and you go “Right! I’m taking the day off!”. That’s not what I’m talking about.
What I’m talking about is consistent performance and when you are consistently performing, ahead of the month, ahead of the quarter, ahead of the year to date, then I don’t think there is anything wrong with saying “Hey I wouldn’t mind a mental health day off” with your boss or for you as a solo practitioner or business owner to take the day off. Clear the head. Be Fresh. Get back in the zone.
The problem is that if we just keep doing it, doing it, doing it we’re not rewarding ourself for effort. And I really believe we put a big effort in, we create the result, and then we reward. Don’t replace that for a week off. I’m talking about an afternoon, a morning or a day to be able to recharge.
Are you rewarding yourself for great effort when you are achieving good results, reward yourself.
