Trust Your Instinct
Trusting your instinct is one of the most important things you can do in life. This can be difficult, especially if you're used to doubting yourself and giving others the benefit of the doubt. However, if you learn to trust your instinct and not doubt yourself, you'll be able to make better decisions and avoid getting into difficult situations.
It's easy to doubt yourself, especially when it comes to judging people. We're often taught to give others the benefit of the doubt, to not judge a book by its cover. While this can be a good policy in some situations, it's important to remember that first impressions are often accurate.
When you meet someone for the first time, your brain is processing a huge amount of information, from their body language to the way they speak. If you get a bad feeling about someone, it's important to trust that feeling and be cautious around them.
In my own experience, I've often found that my instincts were right about people. I've ignored my gut feeling in the past, and almost always regretted it later on.
For example, I once worked with a client who asked me to contact his former assistant to get a password for his storage account. I thought it was strange that he couldn't contact her himself. However, I ignored my instinct and went ahead with the task. Later on, I learned that he hadn't paid his former assistant and had accused her of not handing over the password. When I spoke to her, I learned that this was not true.

I had a weird vibe when I first met this client, but I ignored it and worked with him anyway. Now, I'm paying the price for not trusting my instincts, as I had to end the contract with him after witnessing him bully one of my contractors. When I informed him about ending the contract, he refused to return the equipment that I had rented for his use. It's been more than 30 days that I've been trying to get the equipment back, just like he did not pay his former assistant when she resigned.
This incident proves why it's essential to trust your instinct and not doubt yourself. I would have been in a much worse situation if I had ignored my gut feeling and continued working with this client.
Trusting your instinct is particularly important when it comes to choosing the people you surround yourself with. Your inner circle should comprise people you #trust and who have your best interests at heart. If you have a bad feeling about someone, listening to that feeling and being cautious around them is important. This doesn't mean you should cut people out of your life without good reason, but it does mean you should be #mindful of who you let into your inner circle.
It's also important to remember that trusting your instinct doesn't mean you should act impulsively. It's essential to take the time to think things through and make careful decisions. If you're unsure about something, take the time to gather more information and make an informed decision.
But ultimately, always trust your #instinct and follow it without second-guessing yourself.
