If health had a headquarter, it'd probably be the gut. It is, after all, the reason for all things good that happens to us. It being home to 80% of our immunity means good gut health is equal to performing well. From digesting foods, absorbing nutrients, and fuelling the body with them, the 200 varieties of bacteria, viruses, and fungi make healthy living possible.?

However, recently, stress and poor nutrition from improper diet are affecting gut health. Gas, bloating, and constipation are signs of failing gut health, and if not cured soon, it won't be long before rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and other diseases come knocking.

To keep the gut going well, the following must be put into effect:?

  1. Take a walk and meditate to lower your stress levels
  2. Get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep?
  3. Chew your food thoroughly?
  4. Drink good amounts of water for better and more diverse bacterial presence in the gut
  5. Eat high-fibre foods like oats, almonds, pistachios, peaches and more
