TRUST and TRANSPARENCY
‘BID transparency, governance and review process needs to be strengthened both nationally and locally if business support and trust in BIDs is to be maintained’ was the statement that jumped out for me when reading the 2016 Nationwide Business Improvement District Survey.
The ongoing challenge of any Business Improvement District (BID), no matter how large or small, is conveying clearly and regularly what the BID has undertaken and the positive difference it has made to shaping a place. As a levy payer, I want to know the impact the BID is personally making for me. Wouldn’t it be great if like purchasing an item in a shop, levy payers received a receipt so they knew exactly how the BID has impacted positively on them?
This is what LeedsBID has undertaken and we want to share this with other Business Improvement Districts.
The technology that LeedsBID has developed with one of the top 50 creative design companies in the UK takes place management data to a whole new level – bringing it to life.
Whether a developing BID or well established BID, this technology will provide a stronger, robust method of managing all your data, and ultimately communicating effectively with your levy payers, driving and improving engagement.
The key facets are:
- A centralised database that works in tandem with NNDR database - no more headaches comparing spreadsheets and data dumps.
- A live dynamic CRM that can interface with your existing software, with live data that can be manipulated easily. 2017 rateable values can be factored in and analysed in real time.
- Levy payers and non-levy payers can access a dashboard to see directly what the BID is achieving for them, alongside local intelligence and data such as ‘place management metrics’ e.g. footfall, car park occupancy, etc.
So many companies have knocked on our door promising to deliver the solution and failed to understand the BID industry that we operate in and meet the challenges that BIDs face. So instead we developed a solution ourselves and we want to share it with you. Take a look at the videos on www.mysolomon.co.uk and feel free to get in touch to find out more.
Trust and transparency is the key to any successful Business Improvement District and this software is essential to achieving this.
