Psychologist says, If anytime someone continues to constantly validate their trustworthiness, they are not trustworthy and if they constantly validate their honesty, they are not honest.
What does that mean? If you have to keep stating “trust me” in your day to day conversation, or you are always adding the word “honestly” in to your statements, you are neither trustworthy nor honest. It’s a subconscious effort to not only convince the person to whom you are speaking but also to convince yourself.
For example, notice how many times Donald Trump says the words “believe me” or “trust me” when he speaks and, generally, the statement he is making is an absolute falsehood.
In my opinion, it’s the easiest red flag you can recognize and one of the biggest, like a huge waving banner, and everyone should take it under advisement in their day to day dealings with people. TRUST ME.
