Trust not rush.

Trust not rush.

Trust not Rush

‘For thus said the LORD GOD, the Holy One of Israel, ‘In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength’ Isaiah 30.15

The right direction is more important than speed in the wrong direction. It is inherent in the human spirit to strive for achievement and to attain higher pedigrees. Our world of technology has made everything snappy at the touch of a screen and since we adapt to our environment, we want everything to happen as fast as possible.

In the first half of the year 2023, I was ready to hit the ground running and I did make the moves I proposed in my heart to do. Let’s take a moment to thank God for His sustenance and guidance. Now, I was putting in a lot of work, networking, attending training, taking courses, having meetings and all the other backstage work a business leader does. The first half was full of effort and sowing seeds. As I stepped into July, reviewing the past months and reflecting on my journey, the Holy Spirit led me to the key scripture above. I put in proposals and applications which did not go through as planned and though it's a normal part of the process to success, I felt exhausted.?

God was telling me that He had greater plans and I needed to rest in his plans and trust in his timing. Now, this is not easy for us as humans because we like being in charge and to control everything. But, as believers in Jesus Christ, our walk is filled with certainty in Him amidst uncertainty. As I tuned in, the Holy Spirit started showing me the areas in our business which needed more priority for the rest of the year. We cannot depend on our own understanding and plans alone to navigate life. More so, it is not by rushing and hustling that we achieve remarkable results. We need to step up to receive strategic instructions and do you know what? The instructions we receive are unusual, they require us to step out and dare new things in faith, they do not look like it and they require great amounts of courage and total dependence on God.?

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen” Ephesians 3: 20-21

Trust not rush. Obey what you are hearing within you. Do not compare your journey and do not be fixated on your own timelines. Let God take the driver seat. Surrender control and start walking by faith. Cheers to your unusual elevation as you trust in the LORD.
