I CHOOSE TO TRUST, BECAUSE I MUST
To me, whether or not the economy or politicians or the media can be trusted, I must trust. I choose to trust.
As I see it, trust is the fundamental of fundamentals. It is both cause and effect. It is the prerequisite for, and the result of, living a spiritual (relationship-deepening) life. Trust was required of me as I began striving to live a more conscious or a spiritually-oriented life; and, trust is the result of living such a life.
Trust is the foundation in every relationship, and all we have in life is relationship: with others, with Self, and with the Universe (a.k.a., God or Higher Power).
So, how do we establish or re-establish trust in the world around us? How do we bring trust back into our lives? We have to "call for trust" - trusting that trust will come. How do we "call for trust"? We call for trust by creating a situation that requires trust to be there.
Call for trust via confrontation, and trust that trust will come.
Such a situation is created, or called for, via loving confrontation. By co-fronting, or co-facing, difficult issues in a relationship, head-on. And, to be effective we must do this with love, by not bringing in negative emotion or judgment. We focus our light, our attention on the issue between us, because this is a loving process. We focus our attention, we focus our light on the issue and not on the other.
I trust this is helpful ...
