Trust God // Psalm 119:114
By Mark Jordan
What are the things in which you place your hope? We know that the Bible tells us to put our hope in God, but it can be pretty hard if we’re honest with ourselves. Why? Well, for starters I think we tend to trust the things we can gauge with our five senses. Think about sitting in a chair. You typically don’t wonder or worry if the chair will hold you up when you sit down. Your past experience helps you know what a chair does, and for that reason it’s pretty easy to trust it. It can be more challenging when we must face the things we might not readily be able to see, hear, smell, taste, and most frequently, touch. If God is the source of all things as we’ve recently explored, doesn’t it make sense that we can trust Him with any and everything? God’s power is far beyond anything we can conceive, and certainly surpasses any and everything we’ve experienced. So, trust in God and find in Him the hope you need to face the future unafraid!
