On Trump's Support For Racists, The Right Thing To Do Should Be Obvious

Following the events this weekend, companies that have not made the choice to explicitly denounce the current occupant of the White House have made an implicit choice to support—or, equally damning, ignore—his white nationalist policies and sympathies.

If you work for Johnson & Johnson and you’re not a white supremacist, you have to be at least a little embarrassed right now.

I am certain that Alex Gorsky, the J&J chief executive who remains a member of President Trump’s “manufacturing council” is not a Nazi himself. But as long as he continues to provide his company’s implied endorsement to the man who is doing more than anyone else to encourage and empower the racist right, questions must be asked about his values and those of his company.

Kudos to Ken Frazier of Merck for stepping down immediately and then having to endure the diatribes from Trump. It was clear on Wednesday that no CEO could remain associated with Trump. Brands are built through attributes and associations. This association became toxic. Who would have believed that investment banking CEOs would have great moral and ethical leadership than the President ? What a sad time for the US!!

There's sure to be a share price penalty to pay when CEO's don't make a stand.

The remaining CEO's can't have it both ways, nor hide their moral hypocrisy. It's time for the stockholders to throw these rascals out!
