President Trump has put a proposal forward that gives 1.8 million Dreamers double the number currently protected by DACA — a path to citizenship. The plan, however, stipulates measures that Democrats have “fiercely opposed,” including $25 billion in funding for a border wall, limiting family immigration, and cutting the diversity visa lottery. The administration hopes to bring the bill to the Senate floor before February 8, when government funding is set to expire. ? Share your thoughts: #DreamersLegislation

Tesla’s Model 3 may face a new round of delays, according to current and ex-Tesla employees. Batteries were still being built as late as last month, some by hand by employees “borrowed” from other departments. Tesla — which has denied the claims — most recently estimated it would produce 2,500 cars per week by the end of March, and 5,000 per week by June. Each delay adds another major blow to the auto upstart, whose “future as a mass-market carmaker hinges on automated production of the Model 3.” ? Share your thoughts: #TeslaBattery

Walmart is cutting 1,000 jobs in a bid to streamline its operating costs. The retail giant will split the layoffs, with the first half expected to happen this week and the rest in 2019. Departments impacted include marketing, human resources, merchandising, real estate, logistics and finance. This latest round of cuts comes after Walmart announced earlier this month that it is shuttering 63 Sam’s Club warehouses. The world’s largest retailer has been under threat from competitors such as Amazon.com. ? Share your thoughts: #WalmartJobCuts

The CEOs of Viacom and CBS are in exploratory talks to re-merge the two media giants, Reuters reports. A similar deal was explored in 2016 but fell through over governance issues. CBS and Viacom, which were merged from 2000 to 2006, would have a combined market value of more than $37 billion, giving the entity more power to compete with rivals such as Netflix. The merger would also give the combined company an upper hand in cable negotiations as the media landscape continues to evolve. ? Share your thoughts: #ViacomCBSMerger

Dell is considering an IPO, among other strategic alternatives, reports The Wall Street Journal. The tech giant may also seek a deal with VMWare, in which it has a majority stake. Dell, which went private in 2013, is seeking ways to grow revenue — which could help it pay off roughly $46 billion of debt. The board is expected to meet later this month to discuss options. ? I didn't vote for Trump however, I haven't seen any other President re overall this problem that has been past over from President to President. I feel he has invested this much time and heat from everyone that unless Congress meets his proposal there will not being a Dream Act , rather a nighmare. This will not solve this problem completely however, it's a fight like the drug world, you will slow it down and not have an open door for whoever wants to come to this country. Whether or not if this is a feather for Trumps hat or something for him to have bragging rights I don't care, I have to give him credit on a problem on the much neglected immigration reform that has been out dated for decades. Especially in todays world you can't give an entrance to terrorist or anyone entering illegally and rewarding them with the fruits of the United States. Oh and I know there will be a lot of negative comments however, I'm Democrat.....
