Trump Won; We Lost?

Interesting title, it indicates that since I am writing this, I held the opinion before and during the recent election that the view of the near and foreseeable future of America, was best promised by the Democrats; and that the election of the Republicans would lead to a dangerous societal decline and many of the serious problems that the Democrats guaranteed would happen If the Republicans won the election. Obviously, a great many people disagreed with that assessment. I still think that the freedoms and fairness espoused by the Democrats would have given all of us, not just those who mandated the public controls desired by Republicans, a better life and future. The election was close to 50/50, so it is safe to say that the country is almost evenly divided. So as in similar situations, there should be a sort of equality that mirrors a give-and-take between the contesting sides. There should be a "join and work together" attitude rather than a divide-and-conquer conflict. The former delivers equality and progress, the latter provides the groundwork for anger and fuel for war. America has experienced both.

But what is done is done, and it is up to all of us to carve out our future and respect the freedom and comradery that the Constitution promises, even though our country did not have equality at that time. Our society may become one that controls and removes those who disagree with the current government and with imposition of the religion of Christianity. ?The Constitution is a directive document of great foresight despite the limitations of societal restrictions and unequal treatment of some aspects of humanity at the time it was created. It was and is often considered to be a God-given enlightenment for a government free of control by Kings and Priests. It was, and is, the plan for a government of the people, by the people, for the people. We should obey its principles as they are written.

This is a difficult time in our country and many other civilizations around the world. It seems that we, a modern humanity with the most knowledgeable, compent, and intellectually capable humans that have ever stepped foot on the ground of Planet Earth are warred to the point that human existence will be profoundly tested in the not-too-distant future. All that we have accomplished may be lost in the terror and vast accumulations of the detritus of war. It is still a very distant possibility, but it's shadow is present. We are not teenagers taking down the goalposts after a hard-fought football game, no, the results of an election can be far more extreme. The creation of public and violent human behaviors by political groups may not be far in our future. Winning an election may end in violence, terror, and death rather than acceptance and planning for a different and better future. No, that can’t happen to us… although it is in our history. It is difficult to imagine after years of seeking peace and comradery and approaching that goal many times that we could slip into violent behavior. But, given the call to conflict that our current governments and civilizations around the world dwell upon, it seems that it is not impossible for a drift into human prehistoric behavior patterns to occur. We can't let that happen.
