L is for Loser, Liar, Louse.
Who would have thought that the Supreme Court would be the branch of government that would visit the United States with assured disaster through their conduct? We have now seen a ruling that attempts to be "one for the ages", but falls so contemptibly short of that mark that one is left to wonder if it was written by a Pro-Trump Republican Campaign Enactor. The supreme court, and I hesitate to call it that, given what it has produced in terms of this latest debacle, has proven itself to be able to easily sell its trash to the United States while proclaiming "damn the torpedoes". This ruling, as written, merits a failing grade for a new law school student rather than standing as a Supreme Court ruling.
Unfortunately, this ruling and its effects were obviously intended to have the effect that they will have on the United States electoral system. These six justices, by waiting so long to decide the case, have virtually handed the next election to Trump. They have condemned this nation to a president who is a felon, and worse yet, they have given that felon the means to insist that he should never leave office. Trump was right when he proclaimed that there would be bloodshed if he did not win the upcoming election, although he was wrong regarding the conditions under which that bloodshed would occur.

The Court said time and again during its initial arguments that no man, not even the president, is above the law. Now we find that in a mere two months, that same supreme court has chosen to find otherwise. Instead of focusing solely on the matter of whether Trump deserved immunity for the specific charges before the court, they have instead given us a legal manifesto for the ages, and, worse yet, it is badly flawed. It expands presidential immunity to areas where no such immunity should exist. It did not even succeed in finding whether the specific matter before the court merits immunity. It has sent that back to the trial judge and asked that specific questions be answered. Why did it require two months for the court to come to this conclusion? Was it an obvious effort to further delay the matter until Trump might gain re-election?
This court is clearly not the Roberts Court. It is the Trump Court, a court run by a felon assisted by his co-conspirators. Why can't the upcoming elections be pushed back until all prior matters regarding Donald Trump can be settled in the courts? Why should he be granted a "get out of jail free card" merely because the United States is peopled by a tribe of idiots who run head first into an election for which this nation is so utterly ill-prepared? If a constitutional modification needs to be made, then make it. If the Republicans won't let such a modification pass in the few months that remain, then let the president use these newfound powers to refuse to permit the votes to be distributed and cast until the courts have settled these matters. Did the founders believe that a felon could successfully run for the presidency? Is this nation behaving rationally, or is it gripped by extreme madness?
If Donald Trump's likeness above reminds anyone of a bad guy from Dick Tracy or Batman, perhaps there is a good reason for it. He lies again and again, and idiots eat it up. Newscasts did no fact-checking of Trump but presumed to immediately call Biden a loser. Such newscasts are the losers. Who would credit them with offering unbiased newscasts when we've seen proof that they instead rush to ignore Trump's massive lies and thus encourage acceptance of them as truth? We hear how many people have proclaimed Biden to be too old for the job, but no one, not even the robotic debate moderators from CNN, checks to determine if Trump is too dishonest for the job. Nor did they bother to stop Trump's responses when he refused to answer the questions put to him. It should be clear from his many lies that Donald Trump is not fit for the presidency, yet so many still insist on supporting this rich man and his many lies...even the supreme court. (Yes, I know, that should have been capitalized. Let's say that my grammar here is as good as the court's rulings...) I, for one, am utterly amazed that the United States has become a nation that empowers liars and felons at the highest levels of government.
