Trump on his last legs. 1st, some attendees at his rally today had expenses paid for. 2nd, resignation rumors, 3rd, Trump with bandaged hand.

I normally would not string together 4 palmer reports together as sources, but in this case it is well deserved as Trump's insanity has blossomed to the extent of being a danger to himself and others.

Hence, take the Palmers with a grain of salt. However, if half of what is stated is accurate, then Trump is ON HIS LAST LEGS

Confirmed: some attendees had their way paid to attend Donald Trump’s White House event today

Palmer Report ? Analysis

Donald Trump is clearly still sick and contagious with coronavirus, to the point that he was sporting a freshly bandaged hand when he stepped onto the White House balcony to deliver his speech today. So why would anyone be willing to risk their life just to attend?

It turns out at least part of the answer is money. Trump surrogate Candace Owens, who has previously made positive remarks about Adolf Hitler, paid the travel and lodging costs of some attendees at Trump’s event today. This is according to ABC News, which says it obtained emails proving as much. Giving people a free trip isn’t the same thing as outright paying them to show up – but it’s close. It’s the latest reminder that Donald Trump is having more trouble drawing a crowd than ever. That’s due to the pandemic, and the fact that people are just tired of this clown’s antics.

Donald Trump seen with freshly bandaged hand during White House speech, raising IV drug injection questions

When he appeared on Fox News last night, Donald Trump claimed that he thought he was no longer taking any coronavirus drugs. He also stated that he recently tested on the very low end of the range for coronavirus, which isn’t a thing. So what’s really going on with his health?

Furor erupts over viral tweet about Donald Trump preparing to resign in exchange for SDNY criminal leniency [UPDATED]

Bill Palmer | 2:27 pm EDT October 10, 2020

With Donald Trump’s odds of winning the election continuing to dwindle, and the near certainty that he’ll face criminal charges if he loses, it seems logical that at some point he might try to cut a resignation plea deal. But now a viral tweet is claiming that Trump is already holding internal meetings to discuss resignation – and people keep asking me about the tweet.

Here’s the tweet, from former Democratic Coalition Chair Jon Cooper: “BREAKING: According to

@JewishNewsUSA, @realDonaldTrump held a meeting this morning with senior campaign staff, legal advisors and his children to discuss his possible resignation. Resignation would be contingent on a pardon by Pence, and the dismissal of SDNY criminal charges.”

I keep getting questions from Palmer Report readers about whether this tweet is true. The answer is that I have no idea. It’s worth pointing out that the @JewishNewsUSA account on Twitter hasn’t posted anything at all today, raising questions about where this came from.

This tweet aside, if Donald Trump does reach the point where he’s trying to cut a resignation plea deal, there’s one important thing to keep in mind. Despite its confusing name, the SDNY is part of the federal government, and would bring federal charges against Trump. The current grand jury against Donald Trump in New York is state level charges. While Trump could try to cut a federal plea deal with the DOJ and SDNY (or resign and have Pence pardon him), he would need to cut an entirely separate deal with New York State. Update, 4:04pm: the @JewishNewsUSA account has now been suspended by Twitter, casting further doubt on all of it.

MSNBC and CNN quickly cut off Donald Trump’s rambling idiotic White House speech

Bill Palmer | 2:19 pm EDT October 10, 2020

Palmer Report ? Analysis

After Donald Trump’s last White House super spreader event resulted in him and a bunch of his own people catching coronavirus, a still sick and contagious Trump decided to hold another super spreader event today. Let’s just say that it isn’t going well for him, to the point that two major TV networks have already cut him off.

Trump is standing on the White House balcony as a bunch of fawning idiots are crowded far too close together outside. It’s difficult to figure out what Trump is even talking about; the event is supposed to be about criminal justice reform but he’s instead babbling about his imaginary great poll numbers. In any case, Trump is so full of crap, MSNBC and CNN both cut off his speech within the first few minutes, leaving only Fox News still airing Trump’s babbling. Trump will certainly get negative press from this super spreader event. The only possible reason for him to have held this event is to stroke his own ego, even if it means further harming his failing campaign prospects. What a narcissistic idiot.

OPINION

There's one headline about Donald Trump that has not been printed but makes the most sense of all

By Ian Hughes and Alan D. Blotcky

Add to shortlist

For almost four years, there has hardly been a day that Donald Trump has not made front-page news. The unrelenting avalanche of lies and norm-shattering behaviour that Trump has unleashed has presented the mainstream media with an unprecedented challenge. It is a challenge that the media has struggled to meet, largely because of the ethical and practical difficulties that journalists face in dealing with Trump’s mental pathology.

Even before his election, mental health professionals were warning that Trump’s psychopathology posed a threat to US democracy and to global stability. After his election, dozens of mental health experts collaborated on the book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump which became a New York Times bestseller. Over the past three or four months, the number of voices expressing alarm at Trump’s pathology has been growing.

The media, however, has largely continued to cover Trump’s actions one story at a time, without joining up the dots and accurately describing his pathology.

Of all the thousands of headlines, there is one headline that has not been printed but that makes the most sense of all: "Donald Trump suffers from a dangerous incurable narcissistic disorder which makes him incapable of empathy or reason. He is a grave danger to the US and the world."

The failure of the media to emphasis this obvious fact is a lost opportunity to inform and educate the public so that Trump’s pathology is fully appreciated and understood. As mental health professionals know, Trump’s mental disorder manifests itself in a wide variety of behaviours and not in isolated or disconnected events. In these dangerous times, the challenge for the media, difficult though it is, should be to explain Trump’s pathology in all its complexities and ramifications for the public.

To illustrate this, consider three separate headlines from the past few days.

"The President’s taxes: Long-concealed records show Trump’s chronic losses and years of tax avoidance", The New York Times, September 27, 2020.

Pathological narcissists have a “false self” that they try to maintain at all cost. Trump’s “false self” is that he is smarter and richer and stronger and better looking than anyone else. Anything that undermines or contradicts his “false self” is aggressively defended against. Donald Trump has actively refused to share his federal tax returns with the American people in order to defend this “false self”. He has not wanted to reveal his losses, his fraud, and, perhaps, even his underhanded connections to Russia. The projection of his “false self” is the ultimate lie of a narcissist. Trump’s thousands of lies all join up as a defence against the truth of his true persona as a business failure.

"Donald Trump ensures first presidential debate is national humiliation", The Guardian, September 30, 2020.

Donald Trump’s narcissistic pathology did not allow him to engage in reasonable and rational debate with Joe Biden. He is incapable of rational, orderly, and thoughtful discourse, and is compelled and guided instead by his internal needs, wants, and desires. In addition, Trump is increasingly desperate because he knows his poll numbers are dropping. As a narcissist, his reflexive response when his grandiose self- image is threatened is to attack and to bully. Over the past few months, Trump’s pathological response to the threat of failure has been in plain view: wild accusations, lies, scapegoating, conspiracy theories, and gaslighting. His unpresidential debate performance was an extension of this pathological behaviour.

"Trump's reckless joyride tops Bible-holding photo op in Washington"The Sydney Morning Herald, October 5, 2020

Trump is unable to function without constant praise and adulation. This is the opposite of strength. Pathological narcissists need frequent affirmation to fill up their hollow shells. They need constant confirmation that their “false self” is indeed true – when it is not. With no internal capacity for maintaining a true and authentic identity, Trump is totally dependent on external adulation to function. His neediness now is on full display.

Trump suggests coronavirus infection came from Gold Star families

In the space of a single week, Trump has exhibited three of the defining features of narcissistic personality disorder – sociopathy in defence of a “false self”, disordered thinking that renders him incapable of reason, and a constant need for adulation. Every headline on this president has spotlighted one or other aspect of his narcissistically disordered mind.

The evidence about Trump is overwhelming. A free press is one of the central pillars of a democracy. Its role is to be a watchdog on our political leaders and to inform the public. The media can play a vital role in engaging with the alarming reality of Trump’s pathology, despite the difficulties in doing so. Donald Trump is part of a much larger picture. Individuals with dangerous personalities have risen to the highest ranks of power throughout modern history – from Nixon to Mao, Stalin to Pol Pot. Some have played a crucial role in steering our world towards disaster. A widespread understanding of this basic fact has now become essential for the protection of democracy.

Ian Hughes is the author of Disordered Minds: How Dangerous Personality Disorders Are Destroying Democracy and contributing author to The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the MaREI Centre at University College Cork in Ireland. Alan D. Blotcky is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Birmingham, Alabama

The Trump Organization Is Trying to Hide Behind Attorney-Client Privilege in Fraud Investigation. We’ve Seen This Movie Before…

ELURA NANOSOct 7th, 2020, 12:26 pm 9

The Trump Organization is asking, once again, that attorney-client privilege serve as a shield to prevent documents from seeing the light of a courtroom. This time, the lawyer is Charles Martabano. This time, the case is New York Attorney General Letitia Jamess (D) fraud investigation, particularly regarding a potentially improper tax deduction for a Westchester property.

The property, called the “Seven Springs Estate,” is one of four properties that is the subject of James’s investigation. According to the Wall Street Journal, a Trump Organization subsidiary bought the estate for $7.5 million in 1995, and attempted to develop it for years. Then, in 2015, Trump agreed to establish a “conservation easement” to provide a habitat for rare salamanders and bats. As of 2016, property was valued at $56.5 million, and the easement at $21.1 million. According to some reports, the easement has allowed Trump to avoid over $2.2 million in taxes.

James is inquiring as to whether the estate’s “conservation easement” is legitimate; now, documents held by Martabano may be relevant to that easement.

At the risk of being dreadfully repetitive, Team Trump seems again to be struggling with how attorney-client privilege operates. Here’s a quick recap.

Attorney-client privilege protects truthful information from authorities. It exists to safeguard the attorney-client relationship by encouraging clients to be open and honest with their lawyers; theoretically, a well-informed lawyer is best equipped to zealously defend a client, no matter the client’s actual guilt. And in the particular context of criminal prosecutions, a defendant’s Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination wouldn’t be very effective if that defendant’s lawyer could be compelled to reveal client confidences.

However, the attorney-client privilege–as Trump may have learned from the occasions he has failed to successfully assert it—is pretty darn limited. It only applies to cases in which there is an actual attorney-client relationship, and it only exists within the precise scope of that representation. What is never within the scope of legitimate attorney-client representation is crime. That’s why we have the “crime-fraud exception” to the privilege.

If a client uses an attorney’s legal work to commit a crime, that legal work is not protected by privilege–even if the lawyer is blissfully unaware of the crime afoot. Trump, by the way, should know this.

Martabano is a land-use lawyer who specializes in real-estate development. Saying that attorney-client privilege applies to his work in an investigation about that very work is, well, a lot like saying Michael Cohen’s hush payment to Stormy Daniels are privileged in an investigation about the legality of those payments. If Martabano has documents about the creation of an illegal easement, those documents would obviously fall into the crime-fraud exception of attorney-client privilege; indeed, it would be difficult to think of a clearer example of how the crime-fraud exception operates.

Donald Trump has had a long history of mischaracterizing the attorney-client privilege. In July 2018, Trump and Rudy Giuliani accused former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen of violating the privilege by releasing a taped conversation about the hush-money payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal; the accusation, however, fell flat given that Giuliani had already spoken publicly about the tapes.

Ultimately, a special master was appointed in the Cohen case; the special master’s job was to sift through evidence the FBI seized in raids of Cohen’s home, office and hotel room—separating from the pile documents which should be covered by attorney-client privilege.

New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron has already, several times, extended the deadline for Martabano to produce the documents in question. This report on the battle over documents in the Seven Springs Estate investigation comes a day after Eric Trump finally sat for a deposition amid Letitia James’s ongoing investigation.

Donald Trump’s track record of asserting privileges—be they the attorney-client kind or the executive kind—isn’t a good one. Nonetheless, he appears undeterred, and continues to raise the argument at every turn.

This is a complete disaster for Donald Trump

– Only 400 people out of an expected 2,000 showed up for Trump’s rally today, even after some of them had their travel expenses paid. Of course we all saw this coming; even some of Trump’s depraved supporters were going to draw the line at showing up to one of his speeches while he’s contagious with coronavirus.

– Joe Biden has been endorsed by Cindy McCain and Greta Thunberg. Donald Trump has been endorsed by the Taliban. No, really, the Taliban.

– It’s funny how Trump has rejected the Taliban’s endorsement, but he hasn’t rejected the endorsements of white supremacist domestic terrorists. – Greta Thunberg with the tweet of the day: “I never engage in party politics. But the upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn!
