After watching Mission?Impossible, Biden?signed the Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of AI, a federal regulation. Trump has vowed to rescind it on his first day of office.

Most likely, Trump will prioritize innovation and economic growth over regulation. He will try to maintain US dominance in the tech sphere, particularly in competition with China.

Interestingly enough, the restrictions he imposed on China during his last tenure were even enhanced and encouraged under the Biden administration. With Elon Musk in the mix, though, Trump might be pushed toward a centrist approach concerning AI. And AI remains a real concern for many.?Must-Reads.

Some pretty farfetched ideas have been proposed to save the planet, such as diamond dust. This month, a team from ETH Zurich figured out that we’d only need to shoot five million tons of diamond dust into the stratosphere yearly, which would cool the planet by 1.6o C, but for an astronomical $200 trillion.

Stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) is a form of geoengineering inspired by the study of volcanism as an eruption can cool the planet. Other materials have been experimented with, such as sulfur, but according to ETH Zurich, diamond dust would be the best option.

As the race to save the planet continues, could SAI help us cool down??(Read More)

Diamond dust is very toxic if breathed in. I learned that when I was a silversmith and decided not to use it as a buffing agent. What goes up, must come down eventually. We may save the planet by poisoning humanity. How ridiculous!!

Diamond Dust is insanity since I haven't read studies that explain how higher CO2 levels can change climate. Climate changes naturally over thousands of years. The Mojave Desert with green 8,000 years ago and Mitchell Caverns were formed when the desert wasn't a desert, when there was an abundance of water that eroded limestone rock. And there are remnants of an ancient pine forest at that site in the middle of the Mojave Desert. If any climate change is attributed to human activities, it could be a heat island effect and massive and ongoing changes in hydrological cycles (dams, agriculture, cloud seeding, massive diversions). Yes, we need to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels but in a gradual, rational manner. We need to calm down and do some substantive climate research instead of creating a new religion of Climate Hysteria.
