@Jai Vakeel Foundation has reached out to thousands of intellectually and developmentally disabled (#IDD) children. As their research says, One in every 50 people in India is affected by intellectual & developmental disability (IDD) and 76% of the children with intellectual disability come from the lower economic strata at Jai Vakeel Foundation. Due to financial constraints and social taboos, many of these children are abandoned, abused or simply ignored. With your support, Jai Vakeel Foundation is able to give these children and their families the help they desperately need to live a fulfilling life. They have started their journey with scale through 'Project Disha' to build and disseminate a uniform curriculum for children with IDD. In partnership with the Government, they are building the capacity of over 2100 special educators who will be impacting over 17000 children across the state of Maharashtra.
