One of the best advantage of a Truly Human Business Model over the Lean Canvas and the Business Model canvas is the fact that you get to design your culture and the employee experience together. The Employee Experience determines the Employee Engagement. According to Gallup, companies with higher employee engagement achieve better outcomes like the following:
37% less absenteeism & less employee turnover
48% fewer safety incidents
41% fewer product defects
21% higher productivity
22% higher profitability
Your value proposition to your employees determines those your attract to the workplace. When you deliver on the promise of value, your employees are happy. You have to start by caring for them. Most companies view their employees as necessary inconvenience. Not Barry-Wehmiller a company Bob Chapman leads. He says
"This is how business can be a powerful force for good, by caring enough about their people that they restore, honor and protect the sense of dignity that is a basic need."
Here is what the value of promise to employees look like.
You need to know the people you want to have working with you to know what they really want. Employee Experience (EX) happens where the promise of value meets the ability of the company to deliver value and employees’ wants.
To design the employee experience you have to understand what the employees want. It requires empathy, intuition and observation. You will have to put yourself in their shoes. They want:

2. Sense of belonging and connection
3. Sense of autonomy and independence
4. Work that gives meaning
5. Place to grow and take advantage of opportunities
6. Make Contributions that are valued
When you take care of your employees, they will take care of your customers and when they go home they will care for their families and people in their community. By so doing you are making your business a force for good in the world. I love this pledge of Truly Human Companies:
Every Employee wants to be valued. Add value to them
Every Employee wants to be respected. Listen to them
Every Employee wants to be appreciated. Recognize the good they do
Every employee wants to be understood. Empathize with them.
Every employee wants to matter. Care for them

2 年Great value. Quick question: How can this be taught? It looks like a lot of organizations lack the will or skills to maximize this approach.
