A TRULY CONNECTED WORLD
Chris Dancy
World's Most Connected Person. Seriously, just google "Most Connected", or ask ChatGPT, Who is 'Chris Dancy'
Like so many people, the pandemic was, for me, a cornucopia of toxic people, failing systems, and life reevaluation. Though, to be fair, my life had been value-based for years before I was asked like so many to re-evaluate the people, places, and things in it.
VALUE-BASED TECHNOLOGY
Back in 2018, I moved my life-logging system to Airtable and since then have become a bit of a no-code celebrity for my unconventional way of looking at data.
Above is a screenshot of my?values. They live in a database. There isn't a task, phone call, appointment, dollar, or decision that isn't filtered through my values. For me, in 2018, after nearly a decade of quantifying my life, I decided to solve data's biggest challenge.
We don't know how to measure what we care about so we care about what we measure.
Here is the original video that stated people looking at value based living via software.
LESSONS IN CONNECTEDNESS
Yet if there is anything that the pandemic taught us about our connected lives, it’s how interdependent we are and how much we can use technology to keep us safe and aligned to the things we value.
Tomorrow through Thursday this week, October 5,6,7, 2021, I’m doing a series of six keynotes at Software AG’s “Truly Connected World” conference.?These keynotes are bookends of my connected life and for many of you, the world you now live in today.
LIFE AFTER DATA
These keynotes cover the?main six areas of our hyperconnected life, starting?with Data and going through the maturity model of modern connectivity.
It was vital for me to present all six keynotes if, for no other reason,?we have so few examples of powerfully connected living?through our values and how companies like Software AG and many others?enable the enterprise of tomorrow to make this a reality.?
It's time we stop valuing our tools and start tooling our values.
The conference is?open and free to the public, and you can register here:?conXion 2021
In addition to these six keynotes, I?built two tools to enable employees, partners, customers, and the public to extend this event?into something multiyear to start a dialog about our connectionless.
STATE OF CONNECTEDNESS:
Have you ever thought about all the ways we connect to ourselves, families, communities, and work? To help the conference set the tone for the next decade, I developed and created the?State of Connectedness Survey and Dashboard!
The purpose is to have an anonymous way to see how we are all thriving during this time, but more?importantly, as we return to work.
PHONE PALMISTRY
For almost a decade, I have been flying around the world, looking at?people’s phone screens and telling them about their lives. Heck, I even taught a few classes at Dartmouth for new doctors to think about phones as a gateway to behavior!
To encourage employees and the public to talk about our connections to each other and the world, I digitized my skill so anyone can now get a?personalized "phone reading"!?
Scared? You can watch me giving a reading here!
THANK YOU
That’s it, I hope you come or particulate.?Today so many people are talking about the future, but very few are demonstrating it.?From the software I develop to keynotes, I want to keep each of focusing on what a Truly CONNECTED world looks like!
For the thousands of you who have seen my keynotes, read my book or watched me on TV, thank you for he decade plus of support.
Finally, thank you to Software AG for your leadership on this project! I’m so excited to bring this project into the world!
