One of my fav tech ideas - creating a true global telecom directory when none existed in exponentially exploding mobile proliferation era (being brought up in days of Bible thick MTNL telephone directories for searching a number in Delhi)- Truecaller achieved the impossible & the next logical expectation from it was to grow ecosystem on that fertile soil of 'big' data. Entering into a well developed, largely saturated, wafer thin margin market with PayTM,PhonePe,Google Pay and 25 other platforms/apps providing same & better offering might be a thought thru plan for some at Truecaller, for most it will be walking into a war zone ambush having little synergy with what it has achieved already. Or is it another case of an innovator contended being an imitator too soon? #randomusing
