True Success: The Intersection of Prosperity and Fulfillment

Many people equate success with wealth, status, and power. But it goes beyond external achievements and material possessions. True success lies in finding joy and abundance in every aspect of your life. It's about defining and aligning prosperity and fulfillment on your terms. You get to choose!

Prosperity is often associated with financial abundance, but it's not limited to just money. Prosperity is multi-faceted abundance in health, love, relationships, and vocation. It’s about flourishing, thriving, and having good fortune physically and spiritually. It’s having the resources, opportunities, and support to live the life you desire.

Fulfillment, on the other hand, is about finding meaning, purpose, and satisfaction in what you do. It's about aligning your actions with your values and beliefs and feeling a sense of purpose and accomplishment in your endeavors. Fulfillment can come from your career, your relationships, your hobbies, your spiritual practices, or any other area of your life. ?But this also means pursuing your passions, making a positive impact to in all areas of your life.

While prosperity and fulfillment may seem like two separate concepts, they are actually interdependent. When we have both, we can lead a balanced, meaningful, and successful life. Unfortunately, many people fall into the trap of pursuing external success at all costs. They sacrifice their health, relationships, and happiness in pursuit of wealth, status, and power. They believe that once they achieve these things, they will finally be happy and fulfilled. However, they often find that even after achieving their goals, they still feel empty, unhappy, and unfulfilled.

That was me.?I was driven at all costs. I was always chasing the next thing.

“When I get that promotion, everything will be better.” And when I got that promotion, it wasn’t enough, and it cost me relationships, joy, and love. I traded physical wealth for my emotional deficit.

No money’s worth that. But I’m not saying money is bad. What I am saying is your road to wealth needs to be aligned with your needs and wants. It must have intrinsic meaning for you. It needs to resonate with your soul.

True success can’t be achieved at all costs. It must be defined by you and encompass all facets of your life, including your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. If one aspect of your life is out of balance, quite possibly there are others as well that are being masked by the “big thing” that’s keeping your fulfillment at bay. What I noticed in my life, was that when I focused on ‘the thing’ that I thought was prohibiting my joy and after I solved ‘the problem’, something else popped up.

For me I started with my marriage. After I got divorced, yes, I felt free and happy, but true joy and fulfillment still escaped me because my career was out of alignment too. It's so important to have your vision and goals that align with your values, passions, and purpose, and to pursue them in a way that supports your overall well-being. And while we might focus on the obvious aspects of our lives, we do need to include, relationships, love (which includes self-love), vocation, time, money, freedom, and our spirituality.

Being unfulfilled in one area of your life can have significant impact on your life. Your scales of balance are tipped and you’re out of alignment.

Success is not a one-size-fits-all concept. What success means to you most likely will be different from what it means to others. And that’s a good thing because we’re all unique. That's why it's important to define success for yourself and to align your actions with your personal definition of success. Because when you do this, you can experience true prosperity and fulfillment, and live a successful life on your own terms, without leaving what you’ve built behind.

True success isn’t just about external achievements, but about finding prosperity and fulfillment in all areas of your life. You must consciously define what that is for you. Your vision, your goals, in a way that supports YOU. Define the dream that’s big enough and inspires your heart and soul so you pursue it and get it! When you achieve this balance, you can lead a meaningful and successful life that brings you joy, fulfillment, and abundance.

It’s time to be the chief heart and soul officer of your life!
