The True Story of Classerium

The idea was born in 2014 when one of the founders Dmitry was expanding his courses for Russian and English speaking customers and he understood that in fact there is no current platform delivering a fair and equal income share for instructors and delivers education to the customer in an easy and efficient way.

The second founder Brian joined in 2016 as a consultant and social media manager and this is where the history of Classerium starts.

Dmitry started to think about the original platform, while selling his photography courses back in 2014-2015 when he realized the lack of a useful instrument to sell courses to a broad audience. With different possibilities all in one place.

The platform was born from a practical necessity! Into a real e-Learning business named Photodemy.

February 2016 startup Alpha version, consisting of 42 of Dmitry's courses and 10 world renowned instructors.

Within the first 5 months a basic price model was derived. Achieved a $6500 revenue almost without any Ads.

Mid 2016 - First major obstacle - Not enough resources to headhunt instructors and no Content management system allowing instructors to manage content themselves.

At the same time an opportunity arose to partner with Photo Plus Expo - The biggest photography trade show in New York and to film Masterclasses/courses during their conference in October.

So we decided to focus on creating an English version and adding a content management system. We also developed a payment system with automatic commission/money sharing for our instructors, based on time-spend per individual user. It was hard work with limited resources as we put all our time and money into this.

We got 80 courses out of filming at the PPE conference and we started to produce these into final products and received valuable feedback and inputs from the Photography instructors. Late 2016 - After constructive talks with WPPI (The owners of PPE and no1 photography branch organization) We decided not to film more courses until the next big conference WPPI in Las Vegas in February 2017.

This gave us time to polish the platform, add articles, store and other features.

2017 Q1 -After WPPI we had created 110 more courses and our instructors also provided additional courses.

2017 Q2 - We reached another major obstacle, our economic resources needed replenishing! And we had to decide in which direction we wanted the platform to go! Resources were scarce and a partner wanted to pursue other ventures/adventures.

In the Summer of 2017 Dmitry met our angel investor and he had faith in us and our vision. The Founders Brian and Dmitry decided to follow the original vision of "Supplying open ended self-paced education" to everyone.

On the 13th July 2017 their common vision, Classerium was born!

September 2017 - All paperwork, transitions and formalities took its time. So in November 2017 we started up with a new payment system and recurring payments.

From November 2017 to July 2019- We have done a total redesign of the visuals, dashboards, functions, increased our conversion rates with more than 400%, automated promotion campaigns, added all necessary statistics in our Management System (Pulse-global management internal system) added our own internal Webinar platform, State of the art DRM Video streaming, playlists and Adaptive learning paths, tuned and refined our machine learning and AI and so much more.

Now!

We are preparing to move Classerium to the next Level and expanding our b2c , b2b and b2b2c reach, segment/topics of courses and knowledge, from providing excellent Photography, Music and Sport courses to any educational interest in any market.

We are already talking with partners in the next vast areas from blockchain and coding to business education and whitelabel solutions and so much more.

During the last 2 years we have fought to bring our dream to life . We are more than motivated to dedicate our time and life in creating the new age of education! For the world and its people! Creating smart equal educational possibilities to everyone everywhere.
