A True Story In Advance Language

This is a true story of when my family and I set out on a journey home from my hostel with my parents and two sisters by my side. We started late in the evening. It was an eight-hour drive that stretched well into the night. By 10 p.m., we found ourselves navigating a stretch of dense forest, the shadows cast by towering trees adding an eerie stillness to the road. We pressed forward with our fingers crossed, hoping to reach safely. This forest was infamous for dreaded criminals.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a man appeared in the middle of the road, waving us down. My father tensed, hesitating to stop, especially with four women in the car. As we slowed, we spotted an old ambassador car pulled over by the roadside. Cautiously, my father decided to stop, and as we rolled down the window, a woman joined the man, pleading for our assistance. Their car had stalled, and they needed a push to get it going again. The relief in their voices spoke volumes; they were visibly shaken, stranded in the pitch-black forest.

My father, not one to turn a blind eye to someone in need, got out and helped them. With a quick push, the ambassador’s engine roared back to life. Grateful yet still visibly rattled, the couple stuck to our tail for the rest of the drive, as if our car were their lifeline in the darkness. It was as though their fear of being left alone in that dark forest lingered, even after their car was up and running.

As we finally emerged from the forest and parted ways, I couldn’t help but feel a renewed sense of gratitude. That night left us with more than a bit of suspense—it taught us the value of compassion and courage, even when caution tugs at your heart.
