TRUE HAPPINESS COMES ONLY BY MAKING OTHERS HAPPY!

February 13, 2019- The Woodlands, Texas.

Tonight, THE VIP-CANCER FOUNDATION in partnership with the MD Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, had the honor and the pleasure to bring a moment of happiness to over 170 Cancer Sisters! What a blessing and privilege it is to be able to be part of this event every year.

I call this group of warriors my sisters, because I fought this fight from 2006 to 2011. Many man and women are affected by breast cancer and for both genders is devastating. The traumatic news often change the family dynamics bringing in a significant change, that could be both positive or negative.

The experience is simply unfathomable for the patient, but the trauma and the side effects on the family in many cases are just irreversible. Partners or spouses can get either fully invested in this process or avoid the challenge by abandoning their love one during the crisis. Many patients are not only fighting cancer, but are suffering disappointment, depression, loneliness and even abandonment.

Let's keep those in the cancer fight in our thoughts and prayers and never hesitate to extend a hand to them. Remember, “What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.” Albert Pike.
