True or False questions about a Script Supervisor's job.

As a script supervisor I am contracted to work on a particular production for a specific studio; once that project wraps; I move on like a free agent- waiting for the next producer to hire me. I've been very fortunate since Covid to have worked on two amazing projects. Apple TV and Dennis Lehane hired me to script supervise a limited series that is a nail-biting thriller; the title has yet to be confirmed. Stay tune! Most recently I wrapped 1883 for Paramount + created by Taylor Sheridan. The project was tremendously difficult due to the fact that we shot 99 percent on location and everyday I typically had 3 to 6 cameras rolling on every setup. I am super proud to have been part of such a beautiful and poignant story. If you haven't watched; I promise, you won't be disappointed. Next, I am preparing to work on a feature film, directed by Phillip Noyce; I am looking forward to contributing my efforts toward a "fast-paced action movie!" Phillip is a force! I truly love being on set but last week I was hired to teach a Script Supervising class for NOVAC in conjunction with IATSI and the Louisiana Economic work force program. I had nine fabulous students and I spent the last 4 days teaching them how and why a script supervisor is a significantly crucial crew member of every production. I thought it might me fun for some of you ( those who have read this article thus far) to ponder some of my true or false questions concerning script supervising. Good luck answering! Cheers, Nancy
