A Truer FACE of Success

Over the last couple of days, I have shared on Purity and Justice and their impact on Excellence. And. I have shared on pursuing Excellence.

As my LinkedIn profile indicates, I am a "Leadership Coach for Entrepreneurs, Educators and Emerging Leaders working for a better world." I teach, speak, train, facilitate, coach, mentor, blog, vlog, sing, dance, cartoon, write, box, play and create around the notions of Character,?Purpose?and?Unity. Indeed and in deed, in Looking Forward, Living Present, I offered up some 50+ recent posts around same. Candidly and humbly, I consider myself a life long student of such. It is my own rendition of a life long pursuit of being what LP Jacks referred to as...

It is what Paul Kearley speaks to of here, I also humbly suggest.

Studentry, in my mind, is the only real "mastery". To be a student of the game is high praise. It demonstrates and manifests Commitment to Excellence. As I craft my new lean LIFE/work plan, I am ever reminding myself of same; of the vital importance of studentry in building Excellence. And focus matters. Abdu’l-Baha, said...

• So long as the thoughts of an individual are scattered he will achieve no results. But if his thinking be concentrated on a single point, wonderful will be the fruits thereof.

Attention Matters

Where we place our attention matters. As Donald Cooper said in conversation, just yesterday...

• "Life is free research when you're paying attention."

My own #bestlittledogintheworld Panda knew this, inherently so. She had such powerful focus, in health and in sickness. She was my Yoda of focus. Still is.

Her capacity to focus in on what mattered to her was wondrous to behold. And she learned in doing so, almost effortlessly. I still learn from her example. Luv ya girl.

Our minds are wondrous tools, but they can be so susceptible to distraction. Focusing our attention and ever being the student can serve us so very well. And when we know our intention for attention, we can ever be the better student of that for which we are pursuing Excellence.

Around what do you truly seek Excellence? Where is your most robust Curiosity? What stirs you to commit to learn ever more as art, craft, science, skill, ability, capacity, talent and/or knowledge? What whispers to you to learn and enduringly perfect? What is your inner student wanting most to be ever better at? I gently, humbly but assertively believe suggest and contend that you discern and decide on that. Then, follow it. Pursue it.

As I conclude for now, I love plays on words and acronyms as they help me organize my own thoughts. With that in mind and heart, I simply offer this.

• Focus + Attention + Commitment = Excellence. A truer FACE of Success.
