A True Elder

A True Elder

Understands what the sacred gift of life is,

Takes care of their grandchildren, providing a safe, soft place for them to fall.

Young people talk to, and youth look up to a true Elder, because they leads their community in a non judge-mental way, with Sage teachings.

A True Elder

Listens, observes and learns, and never quits learning.

Takes care of and believes in themselves,

Treats their mind and body with respect and makes wise decisions,

Engages as a leader and mentor and helps make the community a safe and better place to live.

A True Elder

Shares what life was like years ago, music, language and heart songs.

Lives day to day and does not think about growing old,

Believes in their children and their children’s children, always mindful of those on the way.

Are you just growing old, or being a True Elder? The world needs more for the next generation to Thrive On Spirit Strong.
