Patience may be a virtue, but decisiveness is a strength.
There is a big difference between "kicking the can" and intentionally being patient and waiting for certain situations to "play out" or materialize. You have to recognize everything as a choice and when you do, you take back power. Be intentional if you choose patience and own that decision. Also, be intentional when you choose action. Being decisive, however, does not always mean making really big decisions. You can be decisive but cheat...make several small decisions, observe the situation, then make another. Toyota world calls this PDCA or Plan, Do, Check, Act. Also popular is OODA or Observe, Orient, Decide, Act. Whatever you choose, remember, like everything else, it's a choice. Patience is the right call sometimes but make that an intentional decision. Decisiveness is the true strength.
