Trudeau should lead...not divide!
When you take comments like this, mixed with draconian private company tax measures, you get a bag of angry hard working entrepreneurial Canadians. I have been with Collins Barrow since 2001.
"Speaking to the World Economic Forum, Mr. Trudeau chided corporations that "have put the pursuit of profit before the well-being of their workers ." He spoke at length about the importance of tax breaks for the middle class, of diversity, of hiring more women and of income equality."
During that time I was an employee of the firm until 2008 when I became a partner and an employer myself. The firm which has always strived for profit and growth treated me with tremendous respect throughout my seven year employment. At no point in time did Collins Barrow ever put pursuit of profit before my well-being. In fact, it was quite the opposite. The partners of the firm gave me opportunities, education, training, guidance; and most importantly, moral support to pursue my dreams and passions. Now as one of 10 partners in our Halifax office, I carry on the same values along side my fellow partners to work with our employees for their well-being while continuing in the pursuit of profit and growth.
Trudeau's cold and generalized statements show a significant level of arrogance. These constant verbal attacks on corporations while reverberating the mantra "fighting for the middle class" is a mere means to psychologically influence the middle class voters.
We need a leader that will lead, not divide!

7 年#Dril Down Go Too The Bedrock Of Our Problem , This is thanks too, Daddy Trudeau , 1982 this is what we have, the aftermath of repatriation , when he, Trudeau Sr. claimed giving the power too the provinces , T Sr. only claimed giving it too the provinces because he set it up this way ,suggesting it would require so many provinces to break the constitutional vote , WRONG ! clearly a vote by Canadians It would take a, Referendum, the people own the power , not ! Provincial leaders , when in reality they gave it too the politicians, took away from the people, basically 1982 he stole the power from the people, I could stand too be corrected but if i'am not mistaken he legalized steeling the power from the people,

7 年Well said John. Trudeau has never run a business and, as far as I know, never really been an employee. Hearing he and Morneau talk as if they are knowledgeable about how private companies actually operate is frustrating, to say the least. Not all employers are evil, profit focused villains. Most of us have been employees and know how important it is for all people in our firms to be valued and satisfied. Justin Trudeau should stop scaring people and focus on serving all Canadians, not just the ones who drink his Kool-Aid
