TRUCKVAULT VIRGINIA OPEN HOUSE
October 18, 2018
MOUNT JACKSON,VA
TruckVault and its Virginia based employees welcomed and hosted 85 guests to its shiny new facility last Thursday. In attendance were invited local law enforcement, local and state dignitaries, and a handful of Truckvault dealers who traveled from as far as 2-3 hours away. In addition, a number of local TruckVault vendors also attended. Hosts on the TruckVault side of things were Ross Roberts who covered the event in photos and video, GM Patrick Garrett, CEO Al Chandler, as well as Shelli Kolakowski and Belinda Garrett who did a great job of organizing food, beautifying the showroom and welcoming guests as they arrived.
Starting about 10 a.m. coffee and donuts were served as guests started to show up and began to mingle. On display outside were three vehicles with a variety of TruckVault builds in them. Our VA shop Ford F150 with Al’s custom build, Mount Jackson Detective John Armentrout’s Dodge 1500 with a magnum all weather and Shenandoah County Sherriff Lt. Bo Hall’s Interceptor with an offset double stack with lift. Inside on our showroom floor was East Coast rep, Tony Kalicki’s, 2017 TruckVault Interceptor featuring a double stack with lift system TruckVault which was pawed over continuously by event goers. As folks continued to trickle in all TruckVault employees were actively engaged in conversation and answering questions. It was nice to have the room the showroom provided to do so. Ross, Dave Wertz, Patrick Garrett and others involved in building this show piece did a tremendous job.
About 11 a.m. I kicked off things with a short introduction of our staff and turned the mic over to Al and Patrick who also contributed information about the company history, how it came to be that we purchased and built out this location as well as our goals for production and expansion in VA. We then split the audience up into two groups for a plant tour.
The shop is a thing of beauty and all in attendance were impressed. The end of the tour led guests to the lunchroom where subs, salads, chips (from our manufacturing neighbor Route 11) fruit and cookies were served. People continued to mingle for some time after before departing with a TruckVault gift box comprised of a TV buck knife, t-shirt, lanyard, catalog and brief letter from Al. Those that could not make it will receive one in the mail this week.
Also on hand was Max Thornberry, a reporter from the Northern Virginia Daily along with his photographer John Cooley. The following morning Patrick brought in a handful of papers to show all we had a nice front page article on the facility, the event and our future plans for Shenandoah Valley, the State of Virginia and beyond.
In summary, the facility shown brightly and turned out better than hoped for. This plant is something TruckVault employees are all proud of. The hard work that each and every person on staff put in had a big hand in the development of this facility and will also be the reason we can look to recreate the same footprint out West at our home facility at the end of 2020.
CEO Al Chandler: “It is our intention to have a facility even nicer here in the west by 2021. TruckVault employees in Sedro Woolley, WA are the ones that have made this move possible and they, along with Virginia, will make it happen here in the west.”
