Welcome to other Liberating Structures Menu- making space with TRIZ
TRIZ is a a problem-solving, analysis and forecasting tool and developed by the Soviet inventor and science-fiction author Genrich Altshuller, the name TRIZ is typically rendered as "the theory of inventive problem solving”
We all have heard of constructive destruction, killing the unwanted aspects which are producing undesirable outputs and creating obsolescence in order to bring effective results. TRIZ helps to create space for innovation.
Process:
3 things to be asked so called segments:
- Make a list, list down all imaginable worst results from one strategy.
- Now go one by one item in the list, are you currently doing the same thing which will lead it to failure later? If yes stop doing it and make a second list and list down counterproductive activity/programs/procedure.
- Go through the items on your second list and decide what first steps will help you stop what you know creates undesirable results?
How are participants divided?
Everyone can participate in the group of size 4-7 participants.
Step1, Give a introduction on 3 segments mentioned above - 10 mins to each segment
Step2, Explain TRIZ 5 - mins
Step3, Use 1-2-4-All to create first list - 10 mins
Step4, Use 1-2-4-All to create Second list - 10 mins
Step5, Determine the second list items, which first step will help to stop the unproductive activity. 10 mins
