Triumphs and Trials: The Journey of Together We Succeed

Starting and managing Together We Succeed has been an incredible journey filled with both challenges and successes. As the sole founder, I set out with a vision to create a platform that connects diverse and untapped talent with career-advancing opportunities. Today, we proudly have over 240 candidates on our platform. Recently, I’ve brought on two interns for the summer, Sarah Oyeyemi as our Marketing Manager and Om Jani as our Business Development Intern. Here’s a glimpse into one of the significant challenges I faced and my plans with our new team members.

Overcoming

When I first launched Together We Succeed, it was just me, my laptop, and a vision. The initial days were a whirlwind of activity—building the website, reaching out to potential candidates, and forging connections with companies willing to offer opportunities. Every small victory, like the first candidate signing up or the first company partnership, felt like a big achievement. Although I was having some early success, I was doing everything from marketing and admin tasks to having meetings with employers.

There was a moment when I knew I could do with some extra help to get the platform to the next level. The volume of tasks was growing, and I was worried that the quality of the platform might suffer as I was spreading myself thin.

Welcoming Sarah and Om

Admitting that I needed assistance was the first step towards finding a solution. I decided to hire two interns for the summer, hoping they could bring fresh energy and ideas while helping with the workload. I am excited to introduce Sarah Oyeyemi, our new Marketing Manager, and Om Jani, our Business Development Intern.

Sarah Oyeyemi, Marketing Manager:?Sarah will take the lead on our marketing efforts, working to enhance our online presence and reach more potential candidates and employers. She will:

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement.
• Create and manage content that showcases our success stories and the impact of Together We Succeed.
• Coordinate our community and attract new users.

Om Jani, Business Development Intern:?Om will focus on expanding our network and building new partnerships with companies that can offer opportunities to our candidates. His responsibilities include:

• Identifying and reaching out to potential corporate partners.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with existing partners.
• Exploring new business opportunities to grow our platform and increase our impact.

Building a Stronger Future

With Sarah and Om on board, I am optimistic about the future of Together We Succeed. Their fresh perspectives and dedicated efforts will allow us to expand our reach and enhance our offerings. Here’s what we aim to achieve together:

We are now better positioned to scale our operations, support more candidates, and help them advance their careers.

Running Together We Succeed has been a rollercoaster, but every challenge has come with valuable lessons. For anyone starting their journey, remember that it’s okay to seek help and that collaboration can lead to unexpected and great outcomes. The successes we achieve are even more rewarding because of the challenges we overcome. With our new team members, I’m confident that Together We Succeed will reach new heights.
