Triple Adventure: Reflections from My Global Journey

As I sit down to pen this blog post, I can't help but reflect on the whirlwind adventure I embarked upon recently – my "Triple Adventure" around the globe in one month. It's been a journey filled with #insights, #connections, and meaningful #experiences that I can't wait to share with you.

Portland, Oregon - ALC Summit (20–22 September): My journey kicked off in the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon, where I had the privilege of attending the #ALCSummit. It was not just an ordinary trip; it was an opportunity to engage with industry peers, share my thoughts on personal branding, and connect with #professionals who are as passionate about language services as I am. Krakow, Poland - ELIA Networking Days (28–29 September): From Portland, I made a quick stop in Lithuania before heading to Krakow, Poland, for the ELIA Networking Days. Once again, I was honored to represent Baltijos vertimai * BV Translations and share my insights, this time on a global stage. The event was a hub of #networking, #discussions, and planning for the future of our industry.

Budapest, Hungary - Meet Central Europe (17–19 October): The final leg of my "Triple Adventure" took me to Budapest, Hungary, for the Meet Central Europe (MCE) conference from the 17th to the 19th of October. As an #attendee, #ambassador for the event and a presenter, I had the privilege of sharing my knowledge on personal branding again. MCE went beyond the perspective of Language Service Providers (LSPs) and provided invaluable insights from the #buyers' side – what do buyers expect from us, LSPs? It was a remarkable experience to gain a holistic view of our industry.

Ambassador for LocInPink and Breast Cancer Awareness: In the midst of all these professional engagements, I also proudly wore the hat of an ambassador for the locinpink initiative, which celebrated its first anniversary on the 20th of October. October, as many of you know, is the month dedicated to breast cancer awareness. It's a reminder of the importance of timely check-ups and screenings for everyone. When life throws challenge our way, it's essential to stand tall, stay resilient, and, most importantly, never forget to smile.

My "Triple Adventure" has been more than just a series of events. It's been a journey of #learning, #growth, and the joy of connecting with incredible people in our industry. I'm grateful for the #opportunities and experiences that have enriched my professional and personal life. I'm also grateful for all the support I have from my amazing team at BV!

As I look back on this adventure, I'm reminded that in our ever-changing world, it's not just about the destinations; it's about the experiences, the #people, and the knowledge we gather along the way. Here's to more journeys, more connections, and more opportunities to share and learn together.
