It’s so easy to be an employee.
You do your job and money ends up in your account on a consistent basis.
Going solo is another beast altogether.
My latest podcast guest, Ed Quesenberry, left the employee life to become the employer, founding his structural engineering firm, Equilibrium Engineers LLC.
Tune in to find out about his journey.
Also tune in to find out the significance of his company's name. Pretty interesting.

I recently got on the I-5 and drove north to Anaheim to speak at the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) National Convention. The topic? Public speaking for engineers. I often forget to take pictures or video of my exploits, but luckily Jayton Harps was in the audience and took these pictures.
I'm always looking to spread the word about the importance of public speaking for those in STEM. The podcast is one way to do it, but presentations like the NSBE one are another. If you know of such opportunities, I'd love to learn about them.
Until next time. Have a great week!
