Trio wins Nobel Physics Prize for Work in Quantum Technology

This year’s Noble prize in physics has been awarded jointly to three scientists "for experiments with entangled photons. French Alain Aspect, American John F. Clauser, and Austrian Anton Zeilinger were announced as the joint winners for their work in quantum computing- an emerging field that promises to solve complex that are not handled by existing supercomputers.

They conducted ground breaking experiments in quantum mechanics using “entangled quantum states” in which two or more particles behave like a single unit even if they are separated by a long distance. The result of this experiment has crafted the way for new technology based on quantum information.?

The trio’s work was cited by the Nobel Committee as laying the foundation for a "new era of quantum technology".

Future possibilities of this experiment

The result of this successful experiment opens the path for :?

  • Construction of quantum computers and networks
  • Improvement of measurements?
  • Development of secure quantum-encrypted communication.

We are hoping that this " New Era of Quantum Technology" will greatly benefit mankind in the coming future.?
