TRINITY Sunday
As I have mentioned previously, and as we return to Ordinary Time Next week, ?I ask if you could please Pray for Your Pastor, as I too can be short with a fellow driver that had two unfortunate driving miscues, but my reaction to this Soul shows I too as the Apostle? struggle with the old nature, and ask Your Prayers, as I was fully wrong to express my New Jersey opinion of His driving ability, though it may have been accurate, it was far from loving, and caused me to wonder why I still don’t treat others with the Love and forgiveness Jesus does me.
We also are getting to the Part of Matthew were Jesus makes it clear the Religious leadership for the most part IS the problem, and it Still IS today!
In a Day when Churches are closing their doors at a staggering pace, we find a few common denominators, Church Consulting Firms that since their inception have done Satan’s work in steering Churches away from the traditional Worship and so trying to be Culturally relevant that they have become irrelevant Culturally, A Demographic that hires immature distracted Pastors, and Seminaries that do not teach Bible nor the exposition skills need to really preach (this is coast to coast).
So, as we get into the latter half of Matthew you will see through the enlightening of the HOLY SPIRIT, Jesus calling out of the Religious Leadership of that day, and why We (Me too) covet your Prayers.
Thank you so much in advance for your prayers.

First Reading
Genesis? 1
1 ? In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
?2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
?3 ? Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
?4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
?5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
?6 ? Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
?7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
?8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
?9 ? Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so.
?10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.
?11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so.
?12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
?13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
?14 ? Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;
?15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so.
?16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
?17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
?18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
?19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
?20 ? Then God said, "Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens."
?21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
?22 God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
?23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
?24 ? Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.
?25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
?26 ? Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
?27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
?28 God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
?29 ? Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
?30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food"; and it was so.
?31 ? God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

The LORD’S Prayer & Apostles Creed
Matthew 6:9 ? And Jesus said "In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
?10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
?11 Give us this day our daily bread.
?12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
?13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Second Reading
Mt 3:1 ? Now in those days John the Baptist *came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying,
?2 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
?3 For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet when he said, "THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, 'MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT!'"
?4 Now John himself had a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
?5 Then Jerusalem was going out to him, and all Judea and all the district around the Jordan;
?6 and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, as they confessed their sins.
?7 ? But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
?8 "Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance;
?9 and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our father'; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.
?10 "The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
?11 "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
?12 "His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
?13 ? Then Jesus *arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him.
?14 But John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?"
?15 But Jesus answering said to him, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he *permitted Him.
?16 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him,
?17 and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."

Homily The TRINITY, ONE GOD Forever And Ever
?
First it is important to make clear the word Trinity is NOT in the Bible that said the understanding of a Triune GOD sure is and is crystal clear!
Next we ask ourselves is the Trinity a New Testament understanding, or is it also found in the Old Testament understanding too?
领英推荐
Well by now I would hope that a resounding Both Testaments or as I believe the One Testament that is the Whole Bible cover to cover.
Jesus gives the Great Commission at the end of Matthew, and before of course Matthew was written, basing this understanding on the Old Testament.
Today’s readings will a small Sample of the Old Testament text, and two New Testament texts
Old Testament Readings
The FATHER (Can only interact with Mankind veiled pre Cross)
Ge 2:4 ? This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made earth and heaven.
Ge 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Ge 2:21 ? So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place.
Ge 12:17 But the LORD struck Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.
?Ge 13:4 to the place of the altar which he had made there formerly; and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
Exodus 31:1 ? Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
?2 "See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
Exodus 33:20 But He said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!"
?21 Then the LORD said, "Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock;
?22 and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.
?23 "Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen."
Numbers 11:25 Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to him; and He took of the Spirit who was upon him and placed Him upon the seventy elders. And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they did not do it again.
?
Isaiah 6:1 ? In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.
?2 Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
?3 And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."
?4 And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke.
?5 ? Then I said, "Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."
?6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs.
?7 He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven."
?8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

?3 and said, "My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please do not pass your servant by.
?4 "Please let a little water be brought and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree;
?5 and I will bring a piece of bread, that you may refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have visited your servant." And they said, "So do, as you have said."…….

?Jg 2:4 When the angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the sons of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept.
?Jg 5:23 'Curse Meroz,' said the angel of the LORD, 'Utterly curse its inhabitants; Because they did not come to the help of the LORD, To the help of the LORD against the warriors.'

?Jg 6:12 The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, "The LORD is with you, O valiant warrior."
?Jg 6:21 Then the angel of the LORD put out the end of the staff that was in his hand and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire sprang up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. Then the angel of the LORD vanished from his sight.
?Jg 6:22 When Gideon saw that he was the angel of the LORD, he said, "Alas, O Lord GOD! For now I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face."

The SPIRIT OF GOD (indwells the People of GOD and part of the Creation from the start)
Genesis 1:2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
Exodus 31:3 "I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,
Exodus 35:31 "And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding and in knowledge and in all craftsmanship;
Numbers 11:25 Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to him; and He took of the Spirit who was upon him and placed Him upon the seventy elders. And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they did not do it again.
Judges 3:10 The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel. When he went out to war, the LORD gave Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand, so that he prevailed over Cushan-rishathaim.
?Judges 6:34 So the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon; and he blew a trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called together to follow him.
?Judges 11:29 ? Now the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, so that he passed through Gilead and Manasseh; then he passed through Mizpah of Gilead, and from Mizpah of Gilead he went on to the sons of Ammon.
1Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
?
Matthew 3:11 "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Matthew 28:17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.
?18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
?19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
?20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
As we have read, The TRINITY Has been without any possible doubt through out existence, and will continue to be, as the whole Foundational Understanding and Life itself directed by GOD.
We will see, and clearly understand that each attribute of GOD fulfills THEIR unique and important role not as separate beings, as we are NOT Polytheist, but as One GOD, FATHER, SON, & HOLY SPIRIT, YET all ONE PERSON, or Monotheism.
TRINITY Sunday reconfirms our total belief in ONE GOD, in THREE PERSON’S FATHER Who Ordains All Things, The SON Who Redeems in Full, Judges, and Advocates, The HOLY SPIRIT who Awakens us Spiritually From the dead, and Walks, and grows us to be more and more Christ Like.
May GOD Bless You All, In Christ Alone, Pastor Paul

And Can It Be
(Congregation of Faith Presbyterian Church, Tacoma, Washington, Mr. Ron Bechtel Organist)
The LORD’S Table
1Co 11:23 ? For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
?24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
?25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
?26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
?27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
?28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
?29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.
