TriMark Introduces New Internal Data Cloud? (Kariba Pt. 1)

TriMark USA, LLC is upgrading its operations with a brand-new data lake, Kariba. The genius behind the idea, Maaz Anjum, sat down to discuss the newly adopted technology and how it will change TriMark's internal operations for the benefit of our customers. In addition, it indirectly supports the company's endeavor to become One TriMark.
Kariba is a data lake that serves as our corporate storage Cloud, running on Amazon Web Services (AWS), making it inexpensive, secure, and infinitely expandable.

The user-friendly technology allows employees to find the information they need easily and quickly without having "to ask too many questions." TriMark's divisions do not yet speak the same language, mainly due to using different, often outdated technology. ?

Building Kariba required extracting information from all divisional source systems, importing that information into the AWS Cloud, and organizing the data into more digestible folders, ultimately enabling faster and more efficient self-service analytics. ?
Anjum emphasizes ownership and credits his team with making the data lake come to life. He empowered them to brand it, and they ultimately settled on the name Kariba, the biggest manufactured lake in the world. Top leadership at TriMark accepted the title and immediately referred to it as such. ?
Maaz Anjum's team includes Raj Ghanagam, Cora Lei, Padma Pinapati, and Donna Rodrigues. ?
