Triller's preliminary S-1 filing to go public on the New York Stock Exchange has been released.

The company reported a smaller net loss in 2022 than in 2021 and around $48 million in 2022 revenue.

My colleague Dan Whateley wrote an analysis on three key takeaways from Triller's filing and examining the state of Triller’s business and pitch to investors.

The recent filing shows that celebrities and creators remain a core part of its pitch to investors and other key metrics from Q1.

How influencers are getting involved in private-equity investments

The Newcastle Network, a private-equity firm, is tapping creators as investors for DTC brands.

Sydney Bradley and Margaret Fleming wrote a breakdown of Newcastle's strategy for bringing on influencers.

Vickie Segar , who is a partner at the firm, works to develop strategic partnerships with influencers for market research on behalf of the firm's portfolio companies and bring on creators themselves as investors.

"You shouldn't just have investors who are finance people sitting at the table making decisions on where to invest millions and millions of dollars," Segar said. "You should actually have people who understand consumer products in a different way."

Check out 3 ways the private-equity firm is working with influencers, here.
