A Tricky Question

Yesterday, I asked my mother a tricky question. I thought it would be a Googly but with her wit and wisdom, she was able to hit my delivery out for a super sixer!
“Maa, can you tell me a sentence that can make a happy person sad and a sad person happy?”
She smiled and said, “This time will pass soon! “
“Amazing”, I told myself, “I wish all investors could think like her.”
?In a bull market, public sentiment is positive. The rising price of shares and the overall optimism make investors look at everything through their rose-tinted glasses. They are overconfident about the stability of the economy and future investments and feel that bright, sunny days will last long.
The only thing they never think of is,”?This time will pass soon”.
Similarly, in a bear market, investors are easily affected by market noise and try to sell their securities as soon as possible. The widespread pessimism makes them ignore the fact that bear markets are normally shorter than bull markets. Once again, they forget- “This time will pass soon”.
To achieve Financial Siddhi, just hold on to your investments and stay focused on the micro reality (This time will pass soon) instead of the micro-narratives floating around you.
