I receive many questions regarding TriCare and do they reimburse for services provided by a physical therapist assistant or an occupational therapy assistant? Perhaps, we should be asking if TriCare knowingly reimburses for services provided by a physical therapist assistant or an occupational therapy assistant?
The answer is actually in the TriCare manual that can be very difficult not only to find, but to decipher. The key is to understand who TriCare considers to be an authorized provider and what authorized providers are included under paramedical providers.
This is an article that you must read as failure to understand authorized providers can have a significant impact on your practice and organization.

8 年Tricare does not recognize techs, assistants or massage or kinesiotherapists as preferred providers..at least they did not when I worked for the feds.
