TRIBUTE TO MY ONLY BROTHER:
Sam Obeng Tuudah
Author/Coach-Speaker/Management Consultant/Poet/Strategist - SOT Management Training Academy
My senior brother Kwame – that fatal death-blow on that dark Thursday night, 29 June 2017, took you from us. Fare thee well.
We walked and talked together on many occasions, sharing views and intimate cordial relationships. Our mum – Obp Akua Kyeiwaah of blessed memory - loved the two of us, and encouraged us to love each other, possibly because we were her last children. I will always miss you. Words are inadequate to express my emotional feelings.
My brother is gone and he can't hear whatever I say about him in person. But, as an evangelist, Rev S K Nti would have liked me to address all of us living souls here. What preparations have you made towards your end? In this regard, I humbly want to share some of my personal quotes regarding death:
1. “When the palanquin of Mr Death is ready to transport the saint to glory, angels celebrate by singing Hallelujahs to the return of saint’s unique spirit to base – the resting place of the departed. Only sinners plead for more time to repent and/or decide their fateful final destination at the last hour. ‘Too late’ – says ‘The Global Commander Death’. Be ready every day, every hour, every minute and every second.” (Quote 1004 - Not online);
2. “When you hear that someone has died, it doesn’t become real to you in persona until a very close relative is enveloped by the icy hands of death. It then becomes very real. Look to Jesus Christ for comfort.” (Quote 49 online - https://samtuudah.wordpress.com);
3. “Breathing shows a sign of life. The reverse points to death. Do you count how many times you breathe in-and-out every day and every night? Count breathing as a God-blessed privilege and enjoy life if…..” (Quote 83 online);
4. “When death lays its icy hands on you, you have lost your chance of telling someone how much you loved him. Tell anyone you care about something worth of encouragement, love and concerns while you live, breathe and see them or talk to them. ‘Life is, but a walking shadow’.” (Quote 431 - Not online);
5. “Tributes, testimonies and gifts at my funeral go unnoticed by me after my death. They are only expressions of affections by friends, loved ones or even enemies. Show me these affections, love and gifts while I am among the living with you. Life is as you want it to be.” (Quote 485 - Not online);
On my own behalf and that of my dear wife, Vicky – who loved you so dearly as my elder brother – my five children and our thirteen grandchildren, we all say GOOD-BYE DADDY & REMAIN HIDDEN IN HIM IN PARADISE UNTIL WE MEET YOU VIS-à-VIS AGAIN AT HIS SECOND COMING!!! Amen
